EX MINISTRO DE CHAVEZ - NERVIS VILLALOBOS ARRESTED IN MADRID IN AN OPERATION AGAINST MONEY LAUNDERING

Nervis Villalobos left the Soto del Real prison on September 14 after the United States requested his extradition in October of 2017 for his relationship with a supposed money laundering of seven million dollars he received from Miami.

Operation Carabela is coordinated by the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office and directed by the 41st Court of Madrid. In it, the Department of National Security of the United States collaborates.

In the Carabela operation, a lawyer has also been captured and more than 130 properties have been seized in Madrid and Marbella valued at more than 72 million euros.
