So, Keiko Fujimori is learning from Cersei Lannister: How she got PPK to resign as president of Peru.

Probably you already heard what happened in Peru today, about the resignation from Pedro Pablo Kuczynski as President. This post will be kind of informative about some of the events prior to this one.

Well, a large corruption scandal rose in 2013 in Brazil. Odebrecht, a international contractor that had lots of projects in South America, was involved in serious bribing maneuvers to get most of the construction contracts. They were involved in the construction of the facilities of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and the 2016 Summer Olympics. They had big construction projects in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Dominican Republic... the operation that revealed this corruption net is called Lava Jato.

Well, the last four presidents of Peru were involved in some way in getting payments from Odebrecht to get construction contracts. Even Keiko Fujimori, allegedly received money as a contribution for her presidential campaign.

How this chessboard move started?

PPK was about to get impeached by the congress back in December. Just to be clear: the majority of the congress is opposed to his government. Most of the congressmen are sympathizers of Keiko Fujimori, daughter of Alberto Fujimori, who led a tyrannic regime from 1990-2000. He was accused for conducting two killings of students while he was president and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The party of Fujimori had the votes enough to declare the impeachment, but on December 21st, some of the congressmen withdraw their vote for the impeachment it was rejected. A faction of the Fujimori party supported the counsel of Kenji fujimori, Keiko's brother, to keep the stability of the country.

But something happened a couple days later: Alberto Fujimori, the dictator of Peru from 1900-2000, was released from jail via presidential pardon. That was heavily criticized by the Peruvians. That move was praised by both Keiko and Kenji Fujimori.

As the first months of 2018 passed, more about this Lava Jato Scandal rose. A second impeachment attempt was booked to happen on March 22. Congress support about the impeachment stayed the same as December. But yesterday, the opposition party, led by Keiko Fujimori released a video, where some congressmen were bribed by government officials to avoid PPK to get impeached:

Well, PPK resigned because of it.

Now just think about this, and i'm getting into conspiracy theory here:

• Keiko Fujimori's dad is in jail. She has been a Presidential nominee for the last 3 elections.

• Kenji Fujimori supposedly negociated the votes of some congressmen to get his dad out of jail. He got that. Keiko seemed happy with that happening:

• Keiko hoped that the people rage about it would be enough for diminishing PPK, popularity, and her party pressed on with the impeachment.

• When her party wasn't able to get the enough votes, then she releases the videos. And now suddenly she's not ok that his brother try every way possible to get their dad out of jail:

With profound disappointment and pain, Peru once again witnessed negotiations for the purchase of Congressmen. Plus I regret even more that my own brother is involved in these practices that hurt us so much as Peruvians and as a family. This government believed that with money everything was bought. Mistake. There are always brave and worthy Peruvians who do not sell. It's time to tell mr. PPK to leave... but NOW! His departure will make us reborn as a nation. 🇵🇪

It would not be a surprise if we see Kenji and Keiko getting together again in the near future. And her winning the presidency

So now the masterplan is in progress, for the party of Alberto Fujimori to raise in power. PPK, as a president that recovered the economy of Peru, that had these mistakes that everyone has the right to condemn, now has to step aside because of politicians more corrupt than he is, and prone to be authoritarian by nature.
