Socialists all happy with socialisim, until it bites them in their own wallet. Exhibit A: Jerry Brown's utilily bill.

California's public electricity monopoly, P.G. & E., IS IN HOT WATER...or at least very hot air...as a result of the official finding that their shoddy lines and shoddy poles are to blame for at least two of the major wildfires this fall that have devastated thousand of acres and hundreds of homes, and killed scores of people. even public utilities in Commiefornia can go bankrupt, it seems, based on this article:

https://prepforthat.com/pacific-gas-and-electric-company-wildfire-lawsuits/

But, fortunately, Governor Jerry Brown signed a law into the books last year (after that equally devastating "wild" fire season) allowing P.G. & E. to jack rates, as needed, to meet the demands of lawsuits caused by their own negligence, incompetence, and malfeasance. This is so reminiscent of the near major disaster that almost brought down the Oroville Dam, flooding the entire San Joaquin Valley up to 10' deep at Sacramento. Only God's miraculous intervention saved that dam, which is only now nearing completion on the needed repairs to be fully functional for the next melt-off season.

Some California residents..most actually, in the service area outside of "The Blue/Illegal Coast" are not too thrilled that their personal disasters will be paid for with their own rate hikes. This situation may just hasten efforts to split Commiefornia into two or more states, so that the geographic majority, can have their conservative voice heard in American politics. The Socialists will scream...but LET THEM. There are a lot of good people in that current state that do not deserve their fates, ESPECIALLY GIVEN THAT THE CONSTITUTION PROMISES THEM A REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT, not a Communist wasteland.

The P.G. & E. budget for lawsuits connected to their fire-starting is estimated, currently, to be about 1/10th of what will be needed. That means rate payers will need to come up with an additional $250 PER CAPITA (or $1500 for a family of six) ANNUALLY, in additional electricity costs, in order to pick up the difference.

Good luck with that. When the California real estate bubble finally bursts, and it will, no amount of utility bailout is going to save Jerry Brown's socialist superstate from total implosion.

haha! yeah what a sorry state of affairs there, don' t they already owe tens of billions in debt?

Yep. Just fixing the Oroville Dam that they let crumble almost to a MAJOR DISASTER is going to cost $1.5-2 billion when all is said and done.

well every conservative politician just has to point to CA for their argument against the left's policies.

LOL...true.
