RAND: Vote for wall money, and talk about why SAVING THE NATION is more important right now, than political purity.

in #informationwar5 years ago

Rand Paul, the libertine libertarian who support Mitt Romney several years ago against his own dad, while people were still working to get Ron elected, has decided that he can't vote for funding for the wall on principle having to do with the right of the U.S. House to determine spending.

...and an excerpt:

"I can’t vote to give the president the power to spend money that hasn’t been appropriated by Congress. We may want more money for border security, but Congress didn’t authorize it. If we take away those checks and balances, it’s a dangerous thing."

But the truth is:

  1. You aren't going to have a nation to keep Constitutional very soon, if we keep allowing these hordes in.
  2. The U.S. House doesn't EVER vote correctly on spending anyway, so this certainly wouldn't be setting any "bad precedent."
  3. Do you know how much gets spent in THE BLACK BUDGET without ANY real oversight by either House or Senate??
  4. You're in the Senate, not the House. Let the House worry about their own business.

YOU ARE ABOUT TO GIVE THE ENEMIES OF AMERICA A MAJOR VICTORY and (for those few who care) give your own party a resounding defeat.

I knew you couldn't be trusted to really stand for America when real push came to real shove.

Get a clue, Rand.

Your nation is bigger than your libertine views.

Don't drink the tea, Rand. Some things are more important than hardcore, ill-considered libertine libertarian "ideology."...like the survival of the nation, for example.

P.S. NO unfettered immigration of ILLEGALS is not a truly Libertarian position. It's a TREASONOUS position. Both you and your dad have been wacky on that one for a long, long time. (Although, I think your day has stepped back from the cliff.)
