You can impeach, or not impeach (I don't give a rip) the antithesis of the current Hegelian dialectic (Trump).... but, if you dig beneath the surface, (and are not brain dead) you'll realize I just asked THE REAL QUESTION.
Ok here goes. (a) because debt is actually how fiat money is created. (b) if you have the ability to create an endless supply of money you would use that money to protect your power to create it.
If the world consisted of only goose ranchers and I had a gold egg laying goose, rest assured I would use that resource to deploy the most sophisticated security apparatus the world has ever known. Kill every chicken hawk within a 1000 km and eliminate or compromise any goose rancher on earth that utters the word "chicken hawk".
As such I look at the 23T US debt as meter of how successful this program is.
