Not that ther ereally is a need for this because the statistics are openly available, but the studie generally compare to other countries, so it's a lot easier.

You have ifs there. We from IT call that a condition. So let's use common sense for a condition.
If (many) people cannot get a license legally, most of them won't get guns and wont shot people.
(Also there are less guns available illegally.)
If you cannot get your gun illegally, you cannot kill people with the nonexistant gun.
And no, "just get it illegally" is NOT easy if you are in a country with even moderately strict gun laws.
For example the last terrorist attack here in Germany (just 100km away from me) was done by a right wing nut attacking a synagoge.
He could not get his hand on "real" guns, so he used printed and self made ones.
Those failed after a few shots and he "only" could kill 2 people.
the swiss everybody has guns and there is hardly any crime there so ki dont really know what your talking about
in serbia and croatia everyone had guns and before NATO and the banksters involved themselves there it was hardly any crime there also
in saying that i agree the world would be a lot more better place without guns but nobody should ever get rid of them until politicians and cops get rid of theirs first and that is just for starters my friend

there is thousands that are alive today because they had a firearm or someone protected them with one
mostly women getting raped and people robbing banks that citizens had firearms and saved the dirty banks from being robbed

Yes, but the vast majority of those guns is because men are required to keep their gun at home after their army training.

First of all politicians very seldom go into your home and point a gun at you, do they?
Second, the police is not the thing you should worry about. You can quite easily beat the police when "we the people".
What you should be worried about is the military. That are the guys who came with tank after you if you have a gun.
Or drop a bomb on you if you happened to hide a anti tank gun.
If the state wants to really get you, no gun will save you. Ergo that argument is invalid for the point of keeping guns.
