Documenting Mainstream Media Spin: Israeli Soldiers are 'Killed' While Palestinians Just 'Die' - The Guardian

Media Spin & the Zionist Dehumanization of Palestinians

This was The Guardian's headline last Sunday regarding the botched Israeli infiltration operation into Gaza which resulted in clashes which killed 1 Israeli soldier and 7 Palestinian fighters: "Israeli officer killed during Gaza raid in which seven Palestinians died".

Apparently to the Guardian staff, Israeli officers are killed by bullets fired by Palestinians whereas Hamas commanders and Palestinian fighters just mysteriously die, despite also being shot by bullets (or missiles) and killed by Israeli forces, just as the Israeli officer was shot and killed by Palestinian forces. Regardless of one's feelings towards Israel, this is a clear and obvious case of wildly unfair media spin and intentional pro-Israel bias which humanizes Israeli soldiers at the expense of dehumanizing Palestinians.

Independent UK-based media site, the Canary called it, "The Guardian headline on Palestine that’s shaming the entire field of journalism".

Of course anyone reading the same article today will not see this blatant media spin and bias because The Guardian quickly changed its headline following a public outcry on social media, as corporate media outlets often tend to do when their bias is called out and their journalistic integrity called into question.

The new headline reads: "Eight dead in undercover Israeli operation in Gaza".

And while readers of this article will now only see the new accurate headline, the original headline was both archived and well documented on social media, so now The Guardian's pro-Israel bias and dehumanization of Palestinians will forever serve as an example of Zionist corporate mainstream media spin.

Screenshot of original headline from the archived original article is below:

Darius Shahtahmasebi, a writer for both The Anti-Media and RT, documented this headline change on his Twitter page:

Darius went on to write an excellent op-ed piece on this story, published at RT, and being such a well written post on the topic, I will simply refer my readers to his article which I highly recommend reading:

This sort of blatant mainstream media spin is nothing new, and neither is the dehumanizing of Arabs and particularly Palestinians, by Zionist media and leaders. Just a few months ago in April, and in response to Israeli forces shooting hundreds of unarmed protesters with live fire and murdering a Palestinian journalist at the March of Return Gaza border protests, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman announced that: "There are no innocent people in the Gaza Strip."

This is the same Lieberman who coincidentally just resigned as Defense Minister over the Israeli Cabinet's agreement to a truce with Gaza militants, as he found leveling Gaza's civilian infrastructure preferable to peace. It's no wonder Palestinians responded to the resignation by taking to the streets in celebration while burning photos of this vile Zionist warmonger.

There are many more similar examples of Zionist Israeli leaders dehumanizing Palestinians with their words. This also includes the present Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, whose recent calls for peace are certainly not out of love or compassion for the Palestinian people, but are rather temporary concessions being made out of 'necessity' for the Zionist mandate in order to ensure there will never be any independent Palestinian state between the River and the Sea.

On August 1 of 2013, Deputy Defense Minister Rabbi Eli Ben Dahan said that: Palestinians "are beasts, they are not human."

According to an extremely pro-Israel Zionist Facebook page addressing Eli Dahan's words,

Hebrew readers can tell you that his statement was that "in my eyes they are animals, not humans"

In Hebrew, 'beast' and 'animal' are interchangeable, and so this translation, though it differs slightly, does nothing to hide the Rabbi's hatred towards and dehumanization of the Palestinian people:
"In my eyes they (Palestinians) are animals, not humans."

The conclusion of the aforementioned Facebook page of "Jacob Johnson" demonstrates so well this supremacist Zionist ideology which harbors a deep genocidal hatred of Palestinians, seen in the open dehumanization of an entire people.

Even tho the statement of Dahan is very offensive for all animals, we do not condone this statement because of compassion towards animals. However the palestinians have no right to live, at least in Israel. They should be driven out of the nation like scum and garbage. - "Jacob Johnson", Aug. 17, 2013 - Facebook

As for the former Deputy Defense Minister Eli Ben Dahon, he was back spewing more of his Zionist supremacist garbage on public radio on December 27, 2013, saying that:
"A Jew always has a much higher soul than a gentile, even if he is a homosexual."

Another glaring example of this Zionist dehumanization of Palestinians is seen with Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, and a (now deleted) genocidal Facebook post made before her appointment in 2015. A screenshot of the original post and an English translation of the genocidal article it contained can be found at the Electronic Intifada:

The Guardian is far from alone in its dehumanization of Palestinians. Independent journalist Eva Bartlett who spent a number of years living in Gaza made the following video compilation from an Al-Quds day demonstration in Canada several months ago, at which she was also a speaker, and which exposes the outright lies and media spin of The Rebel's coverage of the event. A rally being held in solidarity with the people of occupied Palestine and to advocate for equal rights and freedoms for Palestinians was described by The Rebel as "nothing more than a hate-fest," among other demonstrable lies and distortions coming from The Rebel's pro-Zionist coverage of this event.

Addressing The Rebel's Distorted and Lying Report on The Toronto (2018) Al Quds Day Protest by Eva Bartlett:

Interestingly, The Guardian and The Rebel both purport to be 'independent' media voices, however they are clearly both dependent upon Zionist hasbara (propaganda) and ideology which can be quite easily spotted and exposed.

Palestinians remain human beings despite the Zionist dehumanization; and just like all other humans out there, Palestinians don't just merely die from deadly attacks but are indeed killed by Israeli soldiers who shoot them to death. The Zionist-controlled media and Israeli leadership continues to dehumanize Palestinians, but their humanity remains. Far too many people have been deluded by this Zionist hasbara. The least we can do to combat this poisonous ideology of hate and supremacy is to continue to show the world that Palestinians ARE human, and that they possess humanity.

Whether or not you support Israel, please recognize this truth, that Palestinians are humans, not beasts.

Have a great day everyone. Peace.

It really is quite amazing how language can have such a large effect on the psyche...The media knows this, and tries valiantly to constantly push this angle as much as possible.
