So it's probably a good thing that they didn't survive. Yeah it looks like they developed a wonderfully effective salt-based preservation coating!
That worked well, LOL! So we have original texts to compare with modern texts to check accuracy.! Nice....

With the spectrum analysis, they have the formula. We just don't use Vellum anymore....

They used the best they had! Our US Constitution is on vellum (sometimes called parchment) calf skin. So it was the best until recently....
