Tools include critical thinking, logic, and intelligence methods
This also deals with the current war that the Deep State is fighting against us, and how we can fight back
The ultimate purpose of InformationWar is to give you tools to defend liberty in this war

Board of Directors
The board is just to select a successor to hold the keys to the @informationwar account and the associated social media accounts; this is to ensure that the account remains active despite any possible personal issues.
See this post for a rough outline of the process.
I've got 2/3 of the board members...on board...as it were. I'm waiting for the third guy, but if you want to nominate fallbacks at any time, post that in the boardofdirections channel ;>
SteemAuto for Curation Trail/Fanbase
We made the move from Streemian to Steemauto, but there may be problems here, too.
I have not been able to sign on to steemauto myself; per @TruthForce , steemauto seems to be working for those that have already signed up.
SteemAuto - Curation Trail and Fanbase!! - Video Tutorial!!! Follow @Informationwar
The use of @informationwar voting power
@informationwar will not go below 80% of voting power, so that curation trailers will NOT be drained
@TruthForce explains
So if you follow the voting of @Informationwar on the Curation Trail, we are ensuring that we do not use more than 20% total of the voting power each day. You are able to follow and change your % to what you would like. So for example, if you followed at 100% vote follow for @informationwar then you would vote exactly what we vote. So if we vote with a 10% upvote on someone's post your account will vote 100% of that vote(10%).
100% follow = 20% of your total voting power could be used in any given day, And you recharge 20% per day.
80% follow = 16%
50% = 10%
25% = 5%
10% = 2%
For myself, I am using a 50% follow, meaning that 10% of my total voting power could be used for the Informationwar
and the remaining 10% I upvote other stuff form my followers or people I follow.
I always go from 100% total voting power to 80% every day
https://steemworld.org/@truthforce
you can change your name in the link to see how you would look
you can also do a fixed vote if you would like as well, but that has a potential to drain your voting power below 80% in any given day. because if we upvote 60 or 70 things in a day and you are at a high fixed vote you would get below 80%
Curation response to spam posts and comments
Our response should sound positive.
People abusing the tag for the first time should be politely warned that we manually curate; if we mute someone for abusing the tag, we won't be able to see their submissions in the future. We should never mute until we have warned someone.
We want to avoid flagging for the most part, keeping flagging within Steemit standards: plagiarism, continued malicious use of tags, posts not tagged nsfw...
However, we all agreed that a warning from @richq11 should be enough ;>
@canusapatriots asks...
A lot of us write about a variety of things. Would it be an idea to pick topics and assign projects that need more immediate focus"? They can be agreed upon by the community. This way things get done more effieciently and get the moderatioin, curation spread out more evenly.
I will get to the point where I'll throw out topics and possibly projects, and let volunteers take over...of course, we will get to a point where the community also suggests these!

Congressional candidates posts
We have an ongoing discussion on keeping the public informed as to who is running for office this year! We need to cover both good candidates and bad candidates. Consider using the tag #election2018
- The Good
@richq11 will be doing a post on Craig Brittain... he's an Anarcho-capitalist

Welcome to The_Congress, the place for patriots memeing a US Congress that is pro-Trump and ready to MAGA.
@metalmag2 En Espanol
I can throw a IW-related topic to the spanish speaking community, in order get at least a handful of posts from them. The good ones could be curated by the trail to get them pumped and grow the community
We have a sub-channel for discussion en Espanol
Does everyone know how to look up your old work and index it?
I'll be asking for indexes of your best work, or for relevant series, for @informationwar curation
Use of Discord
If you want an item curated, run it in postpromotion , but if you want to reference something for discussion, chunk it here in general
BEWARE the Google - how much of your work depends on Google?
We brought the issue up, but there is not a lot to discuss. Google is incredibly powerful to use, but what happens if your Google account is shut down.
Are we still trying to recruit bigger names to our community?
We are still looking, but this is an kind of an individual effort, in which we support each other voluntarily.
Choose who to recruit with your own judgement, we don't have to have group consensus, just the ability to help each other out!
I figure if I keep making a big enough pest of myself, they'll finally respond
;>

There is a new channel infowar-fitness
This will be for discussion of our own physical and mental health...very important things to consider as we concentrate on our work.
Great stuff guys. Glad to be a part of the project.
I really like the way this is shaping up, thank you for the mention. I have had my eye on composing an annotated version (with examples) of the The Gentleman's Guide to Forum Spies for a while. It is quite dated by today's standards (from 2001!), but the principles therein are essential for sorting the wheat from the chaff in the digital media and information environment.
To date I have been focused on finding concrete examples and how the tactics have adapted to the (newer) social media environment, which, with the flood of media and the many things to look out for is challenging. Often, for example, I know of a specific example I heard in an interview with a talking head and can't find it again. I doubt that is entirely coincidence, disinfo tactics are much safer to use in spoken contexts because if in writing it can be parsed and revealed. If anyone would like to support me with finding specific examples of each tactic, I would be much obliged. In the event anyone is interested, I will make a dedicated post for submissions when I have finished the current Towards Voluntaryism series on Education.
There is a small movement afoot in academia as well, and it may be worth trying to find participants there. Jordan Patterson is the rock star right now from that demographic. His database of Marxist/Postmodernist classes to avoid didn't come to fruition, but such an endeavor would certainly arouse his interest (I noted this here, point 1N). See also Loretta Breuning who "escaped" political correctness. I am sure there are more.
You have given me a lot to think about.
:)
We have a discord meeting tomorrow if you would like to join! Text based meeting.
