The Information War in Africa (1)
Unlike the West where the onus is usually against media manipulation and ideologies, the information war in the African continent is quite different. As a matter of fact it is very different. You see, we aren’t just fighting an ideological war with the winner being the most superior or opinion wise or financially – we’re fighting for freedom to have these rights to diversity of opinions.
There is no ideology here, just a very basic system where the elites control the ignorant masses and use their vast resources to keep them at bay – as slaves, and even turning against one another. The most primal survival instincts come into focus here as the people literally feed of the elite masters table. Who has time for ideologies on an empty stomach?
A good example is the typical Nigerian election. It often involves sharing lump sums of money to voters (who are mostly Poor) in other to induce them into getting their votes. Now imagine someone completely incompetent but with a lot of resources at his disposal; people still vote for such because to them, the immediate is more important than an unknown future.
This is precisely why I am so discouraged with my articles sometimes. It appears the war has already been decided, and can never change – not with the way things are now. There is no need for media manipulation for the bulk of the masses because they’ve been given no choice of a narrative in the first place.

Ways you can help the @informationwar
Don't get discouraged if you believe in something fight for it. This is exactly why people like cryptcurrencies because it will decentralize money and provide a deflationary currency that will grow the more it gets adopted.
If you want to help people educate them about how they can get access to bank accounts, NANO, a cryptocurrency is creating an SMS system where all you need is a mobile phone (not smartphone to have secure access to banking)
However, It is true that the elites will have the option and power to invest more in this technology then others and thus gain more from it. But at least it will stop the monetary supply from being centralized and controlled by a few bad actors.
I hope the blockchain really can interrupt the crooked monetary supply. Am guessing they'll just find a way to ruin it for everyone
