I recall hearing about this a few years ago. What's especially interesting is that if you add meetings with lobbyists to their schedule, it becomes something crazy like 95% of their time being dedicated to fundraising.
We really should fire them all. The latest iteration of our hundred dollar federal banknote, actually reminds us of this ... Interesting, no?
Here's my favorite part - since they spend so much time feeding their party coffers, if we DID fire them all, the government would keep chugging along just fine! Ideally giving us enough time to elect actual public servants to represent the will of We the People. Think about it, the rank & file actually do the work that keeps everything functioning.
At this point it seems like Trump may truly be draining the swamp, I certainly hope so!

Thanks for your precise and accurate comments. I agree. We need to fire anyone who goes there and spends OUR TIME AND DIME raising money, even for five minutes. How is that also a violation of The Hatch Act?...or is that just for bureauRATS.
