The Exodus Movement
Below is a link to a video of The Exodus Movement. This is a movement in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota of Black Americans who have had it with the Democratic party. And it's very refreshing to hear a lot of these people speak about being conservative in the same light that I, a recently registered Republican, that I feel is important.
The video focuses mainly on Kofi Montzka. She is the founder of The Exodus Movement. And in her story, she talks about how she became conservative while she was in law school. She talks about how when she grew up, she bought into the lie that conservative, by their very nature, are racists. And in fact, she began to believe that Republicans offered more hope for the Black American communities as they encourage people to succeed as opposed to the enforced "help" from Democrats that assumes Black Americans cannot take care of themselves.
The video also shows a meeting of The Exodus Movement. And we get to listen in on their meeting. While the video itself is not very well produced, the information in the video is excellent. And When you consider the recent #WalkAway march and the Young Black Conservative Summit in Washington DC on October 26th 2018, it seems the logic of conservative fiscal values are undeniable regardless of race, color, or creed.
