The Book That Started It ALL Written In 1896
Interestingly written in 1896... the book that started it all: global warming, as a theory, was born.
Carolina Christina Thunberg appears to be a cousin on Greta's father side. Svante being so famous, the interest in climate has run in the family for over a century.
Its also interesting to see that the theory was written when climate issues didn't exist yet, before industrialization. So many question marks, indeed.
What is more, Svante August Arrhenius also studied at Upssala University, in the same area where The State Institute For Racial Biology was located. And it is said that he later became one of its board members.
This was just a quick update, folks, we have no itention at all to write about all these remifications when so much is available on Svante's account already. But we'll let you take over the discovery process and go down this rabbit hole leading to the infamous Adam Weishaupt.

Arrhenius set himself the task of working out just how much water and CO2 in the atmosphere warmed the planet. From others' work, he knew that CO2 was only part of the process. While CO2 and other gases trapped infrared radiation and so heated the atmosphere, warmer air holds more water vapour, itself the most potent contributor to the greenhouse effect. So, if atmospheric CO2 levels increased, water vapour would ensure the warming effect was seriously magnified.

Arrhenius’s paper is the first to quantify the contribution of carbon dioxide to the greenhouse effect (Sections I-IV) and to speculate about whether variations in the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide have contributed to long-term variations in climate (Section V). Throughout this paper, Arrhenius refers to carbon dioxide as “carbonic acid” in accordance with the convention at the time he was writing.
Contrary to some misunderstandings, Arrhenius does not explicitly suggest in this paper that the burning of fossil fuels will cause global warming, though it is clear that he is aware that fossil fuels are a potentially significant source of carbon dioxide (page 270), and he does explicitly suggest this outcome in later work....
