Yet another big-pharma witch hunt?

Last week the case of Dr. Farrah was brought to my attention by a fellow blogger and this took me on a journey trough a couple of rabbit holes. I have seen big-pharma go after Natural Medicine in the Netherlands, and I have seen comparable cases in Europe and the rest of the world. And it is interesting to see how similar the take down tactics are. And how seems the combination of Cancer and Natural Medicine when they take out the big guns. (I might do an article on that in the near future)

How Big Pharma is going after Doctors who use Natural Medicine to heal their patients. The case of Dr. Farrah.

The Philippine DOH and FDA (specifically DOH USEC Eric Domingo) falsely claimed that the complaint originated form her patients and it led to close her facility.

This report was filed against her by the presidents of 5 separate medical societies.

• Philippine Rheumatology Association
• Philippine Society of Medical Oncology
• Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infection Diseases
• Philippine Society of Nephrology

That's one hell of an attack on someone who actually helps cancer patients CURE from certain types of cancer.

USEC Eric Domingo stated that she did not have a license to operate as a medical facility. He failed to mention that she was not required to obtain a license to operate an outpatient medical clinic, nor is any other Doctor in the Philippines. He also failed to mention that her facility is also her home.

USEC Eric Domingo falsely claimed that she has a Pharmacy, yet 2 separate FDA raids demonstrated the presence of zero pharmaceutical products. Attorney Sig Fortun has clearly illustrated this in the suits against the DOH, FDA and Director General Charade Puno. USEC Eric Domingo falsely claimed that only the alleged pharmacy was closed at her facility. The entire facility was ordered closed. One needs to look no further than the FDA posted tarpaulin which clearly states that "The Dr. Farrah Bunch Natural Medical Center of Lot 9, Maluid, Victoria, Tarlac City is hereby ordered CLOSED..."

The FDA does not have the authority to close medical facilities under Republic Act no. 9711, also known as the FDA act. Yet that didn’t stop FDA Director Charade Puno from making it happen.

USEC Eric Domingo falsely claimed that her products were being sold as medicines. Her products are nutritional products which are labeled clearly stating “no approved therapeutic claims.”

So it is nothing more then a bureaucratic dispute, the FDA and DOH completely ignore the fact that people are having actual health benefits from her treatment. And it all boils down to the point where 'regular' expensive medicine that are pushed by the Pharma Industry are NOT working as good as they pretend to be. And that a Medical Doctor who did real research managed to find the right balance between nutrients that works better then the expensive alternative that the Pharma Industry has to offer. And that 'financial threath' is the reason to go after her.

Doesn't Philipine FDA and DOH have an Hippocratic oath in their medical system? I mean who are these presidents, if they come from the healthcare system then they should be at least familiar with the Hippocratic oath. And then the question arises why on earth do they choose to ignore that. Since when can 5 presidents of so called medical institutions gang together to close a medical facility that actually helps patients BETTER then the alternatives THEY offer themselves for a few specific forms of cancer?
Shouldn't they be HELPING Dr. Farrah instead? And show interest in her progress to fight those types of cancer?

It really would make sense if the Philippine government would go after these 5 institutions and make sure that such a thing could never happen again.

Something that informationwars readers may appreciate is this quote:

Dr. Farrah notes, “When I was in medical school, I was taught what I was supposed to believe, but NOT the evidence for many of these beliefs, and most definitely NOT to question these beliefs even when they were lacking scientific validation. To not question the science of so many aspects of medicine when there was no evidence for them made me very uneasy. This is when I became a medical heretic. I refuse to blindly believe something simply because a Professor says, “Because I said so”, in response to my questions, without demonstrating any evidence. I believe that if something isn’t significantly and scientifically proven to safely work for a patient, why should we prescribe it? The very idea that any Filipino should have choices, freedom or liberty regarding their healthcare is assaulted by the corporate-infected medical establishment.

From what I hear President Duerte is really doing a lot of good for the Philippines, but why can a thing like this go this far? That's easy to say from a distance as far as the other side of the planet. But still it seems a bit strange that 5 medical institutions can manage to do something as illegal as closing a facility by using FALSE CLAIMS.

The government and Law should have stopped this mishaps in it's tracks. BEFORE it had ever come TO closing a facility.

The story itself if a lot more extensive then described in this article. There are many more people writing about this and I would suggest to read what those people who are much closer and more familiar with the politics in the Philippines.
