Anyone disagreeing falls into one or more of these camps and yes, I used to not be woke:
1/ Has a govt or related / military paycheck or pension and thus a special interest. A conflict of interest.
2/ Believes the lies of the propagandist media and govt whores screwing humanity.
3/ Saw or caused, or served with people who destabilised cities/nations and does not want to admit it.
4/ Feels like an idiot for being a pawn, in the name of flag worship / propaganda and related violence.
5/ Has PTSD from the actual battles they were in killing innocent people instead of the govts that initiates the violence and is triggered or has to back up what they did as a result, to self justify what they did.
6/ I could keep typing but nobody is likely reading my words.
I hope they (you?) have grown, woke up, learned to think for yourself and how war is a giant waste of lives and justifies tax dollars for the war machine.

But honestly, think of all the rights stolen, time lost, mental anguish etc for doing the right thing.

If an ungoverned society was inherently unstable, they'd have no issue with offering to leave some island somewhere alone for 100 years; so we could all learn the hard way.

If government minded their own business and were not sociopaths, better yet, just took a flying leap and left us altogether, with their imaginary extortion and powers, everyone would be fine.
What you are saying is inside the Matrix, the state brainwashed lies you have been fed.
It is propaganda.
Voluntary everything is the way to go, and the way to free markets and actual liberty when you look at life, history, and economics.
This is a very idealistic situation, it is very good if we could achieve that level of perfection in the society, but it is not possible right now when there is so much socio-economic disparity in the world.
Right now it is necessary to have a apparatus which can protect the rights of people who are depressed and suffering the wrath of poverty and other difficulties.
Off course it would be wonderful if we could live in a world with no borders and all absolute liberty but human kind is still not ready for that kind of freedom.
