Each Country Should Fine Facebook $5 Billion
The US has just issued the anticipated $5 billion fine against Facebook over privacy violations. This has been in the news for a while, however, for the US government this is merely taking money from one pocket and putting it into another.

Facebook is widely known to collaborate with US government agencies, most prominently the notorious NSA apparatus, and the infamous CIA. The plausible rumor is Facebook did receive a massive boost by one or more of such agencies to kick-start its global information 'voluntarily' harvesting from its billions of users, including all intimate information as well. What an effective investment for the US spy agencies?!
In the US this might be seen as a government collecting information about its own citizens like how they would fill any form for any application with any of its agencies, however, outside the USA, this has been a major concern. This amounts to literally spying for a foreign government.
If the USA can fine the Silicon Valley giant for $5 billion, shouldn't each other government around the world where Facebook has users fine it the same for the numerous breaches of privacy it committed, the world governments can use this particular ruling as a precedent for justification.
To enforce such an act, the governments can freeze FB assets if available, issue a freeze over the assets of all its executive board members and top managers, and block the site altogether to promote and preserve free speech, the US and EU reasoning for blocking Syrian media.
I'm personally a very strong supporter of free speech, as much as I'm an opponent of spying and breaching privacy of those who entrust large corporations for their information.
