Das World Wide Web und psychologische Kriegsgestaltung...
Immer wieder wird sich manch einer beschäftigen, ob es wirklich so leicht möglich ist, die Gedanken der Massen zu kontrollieren und deren Verhalten durch Social Media zu beeinflussen...und ja, auch ich beschäftige mich von Zeit zu Zeit damit!
Beim lesen mancher Artikel im World Wide Web fand ich auch diverse Artikel der Journalistin Cadwalladr welche in einem ihrer Artikel über Christopher Wylie schrieb, einen Mann oder fast erwachsenen Mitte zwanzigjährigen, der einige Fähigkeiten aufwies.
Als Leiter eines Forschungsinstituts für eine Firma die "Verhaltensforschung und strategische Kommunikation" unter die Lupe nahm wurde dieser angestellt.
Er nutzte sein Können und nahm Kontakt mit der SCL Group auf, um sein Wissen über ein Schema, welches auf in der Fashion Szene angewandt wird, um den nächsten Trend vorherzusagen auf politische Wahlen schmackhaft zu machen.
In dem Artikel gibt Cadwalledr die Kommunikation mit Christopher Wylie recht gut wieder, dieser ist reich an Zitaten und Quellenmaterial.
Es werden sehr gut die Verbindungen aufgezeigt, Punkt für Punkt wie Daten Sammler die Informationen der Menschen ohne deren Erlaubnis oder wissen benutzen.
Wie zum Beispiel auch die SCL-Gruppe zu einem Ableger des Shell-Unternehmens namens “Cambridge Analytica” gehört und von dem republikanischen Geldgeber Robert Mercer finanziert wird, ebenso wird die Verbindung von einem zum anderen Unternehmen aufgezeigt, wie dem "Global Science Research" (GSR) des St. Petersburger Universitätspsychologen Professor Aleksandr Kogan, des Vorstandsmitglieds und Investors von “Cambridge Analytica” und des späteren Präsidentschaftskandidaten von Herrn Trump, Steve Bannon bis hin nach Russland und Wladimir Putin.
Die Fäden der Verbindungen sind weitreichender als der 0815-vor-sich-hin-vegetierender-Alltagsmensch denkt, als Kurzversion kann man sagen, dass Dr. Aleksandr Kogan, die Arbeiten der Cambridge University Psychologen Michal Kosinki und David Stillwell replizierte und ein App namens "Thisismydigitallife" entwickelte, dieser App wurde dazu benutzt "psychographische" Daten über die Persönlichkeitsmerkmale der App Nutzer zu sammeln. Als Vorwand wurde eine akademische Forschung genannt, um den Zugriff zu den Facebook-Profilen und denen der Freunde zu erhalten.
Kogans GSR hat sich dann mit der “Cambridge Analytica” verbunden und konnte auf diese Weise die Profile von ca. 30 - 50 Millionen Facebook-Nutzern ohne deren Erlaubnis durchsuchen.
Unter der Leitung von Mercer und Bannon Wylie hat man angestrebt, Möglichkeiten zu entwickeln, auf denen die persönlichen Daten zur Förderung und Gestaltung des Internets verwendet werden können und die Möglichkeit besteht auch politische Kampagnen wie von von Ted Cruz und Donald Trump aufzubauen.
Die Nachfrage nach eines "Datenmissbrauchs" von Facebook und die Fremdnutzung von persönlichen Informationen ohne Einwilligung der Betroffenen Facebook Nutzern, die Partnerschaft von GSR (mit Kogans Verbindungen nach Russland) und “Cambridge Analytica”, welche überwiegend von Kanadiern und Europäern besetzt ist, wurde auf mögliche Rechtsverstöße nach dem US-amerikanischen Gesetzes überprüft, welche eine Beteiligung von Ausländern an amerikanischen Wahlen einschränkt.
Nach dem Artikel im “The Guardian” hat die “Cambridge Analytica” 2014 auch einen Business-Pitch zu einer russischen Ölgesellschaft mit engem Kontakt zum russischen Präsidenten Wladimir Putin unternommen, diese hatten wiederum nichts mit Erdöl zu tun, sondern fokussierten sich auf "Wahlstörungs-Techniken", um die Wähler auf der Grundlage einer von ihrer psychographischen Online-Profile zu beeinflussen.
Es ist immer noch unklar, ob man von einer Art von Verschwörung oder Absprachen innerhalb der Trump-Kampagne reden kann, dieser Teil der jetzigen, politischen Geschichte wird sich sicherlich noch weiter auftun.
Der NYU-Philosophieprofessor Tamsin Shaw, der am Artikelende von Cardwalladrs Artikel zitiert wird, hat in einer “New York Times” Buchkritik den modernen Informationskrieg als "die Ausbeutung von Informationstechnologie für Zwecke der Propaganda, Desinformation und psychologischer Operationen" beschrieben.
Abgesehen von der Psychologie im gesamten, nimmt Professor Shaw die "Big Five" -Technologie-Unternehmen Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Amazon und Google ins Visier.
"Erst in den letzten Monaten haben Amerikaner mit den Nachrichten über die russischen Hacks und Trolle begonnen und angefangen zu fragen, ob die Plattformen, von denen sie vorher annahmen, dass sie freie Erkundigungen und Kommunikation ermöglichten, benutzt wurden, um sie zu manipulieren. Die Tatsache, dass Google, Facebook und Twitter erfolgreich von russischen Trollen und Bots (falsche als echte Benutzer getarnte Konten) Zweckentfremdet wurden, um Desinformation zu verbreiten, die die US-Präsidentschaftswahlen beeinflussen sollen, hat in der Öffentlichkeit endlich die Frage aufgeworfen, ob diese Unternehmen nationale Interessen gefährden könnten. ... das Internet hat die Gefahren des Informationskriegs verschärft. Algorithmen, die von einigen großen Unternehmen verwendet werden, bestimmen die Ergebnisse unserer Websuchen, die Beiträge und Nachrichten, die in unseren Social-Media-Feeds gezeigt werden, und die Anzeigen, denen wir mit einer Häufigkeit ausgesetzt sind, die größer ist als in allen bisherigen Medien. Wenn Desinformation oder irreführende Informationen in diese Maschine eingegeben werden, kann dies weitreichende beabsichtigte und unbeabsichtigte Auswirkungen haben."
das US-Militär hat die PSYOP-Einheiten wieder eingeführt
Als m Obama noch aktuell war, wurden Psychologische Operation durch MISO benutzt, mittlerweile bekennt sich nun unter der Führung von Trump das Pentagon wieder zur Manipulation von Menschen im Ausland.
Während der Präsidentschaft von Barack Obama wurden einige Wörter abgeschafft. So wurde auch die Abkürzung „GWOT“, was soviel bedeutet wie: Global War of Terror, aus dem Wortschatz entfernt, doch es wurde weiter fortgesetzt und sogar auf andere Länder und Kontinente ausgebaut.
Die US-Regierung entfernte die Bezeichnung "Globaler Krieg“ und erschuf anstatt des alten Ausdrucks lieber das Wort “Terror", womit diese wahrscheinlich das selbe meinen. Auch die Bezeichnung "Long War" wurde aus dem Wortschatz entfernt, was jedoch an der Länge eines Krieges rein gar nichts ändert.
Im Jahre 2012 hatte man vor sich sogar völlig vom Krieg zu verabschieden, nachdem „al-Qaida“ sozusagen als besiegt galt. So stand in der damaligen Presse sowas wie:
Die US-Regierung will sich endlich vom Krieg gegen den Terror verabschieden.
2010 hat man sich auch, unter der Präsidentschaft von Obama, von der Bezeichnung vom Begriff der "Psychologischen Kriegsführung" verabschieden wollen, also der Psychologischen Operationen oder „PsyOP“ genannt.
Mit „PsyOP“ wurden Versuche betitelt, in denen Menschen gezielt durch Informationen beeinflusst wurden.
Statt dessen sollte die Bezeichnung nun „Military Information Support Operations“, kurz MISO genannt werden.
Also schlicht gesagt: MISO statt PsyOP-doch es ist immernoch das selbe gemeint.
Anscheinend war man der Meinung, dass dieses nach den Ausschreitungen der Bush-Zeit etwas harmloser klingt und auch die Erinnerungen an den Kalten Krieg verdrängt.
Im Zeitalter von Medien und Cyber Kriegsführung, in späteren Zeiten noch ergänzt durch die hybride Kriegsführung, wurde wieder nur die Fassade als die Bezeichnung ausgetauscht, doch dahinter wurde „PsyOP“ noch weiter auszubauen.
Die Möglichkeit besteht, dass es darum ging, PsyOP-Agenten noch besser in die Botschaften oder den anderen politischen Aktivitäten zu schleusen.
Hillary Clinton hatte in ihrer Amtszeit als Außenministerin im Jahre 2012 das Konzept einer "Smart Power" propagiert, einer engen Kooperation von Außenministerium, Sondereinheiten des Militärs und des Geheimdienstes, was Diplomaten und Elitesoldaten vereinen sollte, in der weltweiten Bekämpfung des Bösen.
Schlichtgesagt sollten Kriege nicht mehr so offen, öffentlich und mit vielen Soldaten ausgeführt werden, sondern unbemerkt und verdeckt.
Das wollte auch Obama, der auf eine softe, kosteneinsparende und imagefördernde Kriegsführung seine Wahlkämpfe setzte und welches auch der Grund ist, warum er so für Verdeckte Einsätze, Drohnenangriffe und Spezialeinheiten war.
Doch im Jahre 2014 wurde anscheinend „MISO“ ganz zackig wieder in „PsyOP“ transformiert, um dann kurzerhand wieder „MISO“ betitelt zu werden.
Ein hin und her, dieses Wort Transformation.
Selbst bei der deutschen Bundeswehr wurden solche Begriffe verändert.
So wurde aus der „Psychologischen Kriegsführung“ über die „Psychologische Verteidigung“ bis hin zu „Operative Information“ transformiert.
Ob man es glaubt oder nicht, doch immerhin kam mit Trump in gewissem Maße wieder ein wenig mehr Ehrlichkeit, was speziell die Militärmacht der USA betrifft. Mittlerweile wird wieder direkt und offensichtlich militärisch gedroht, gleich offensiv und mit wenig Zurückhaltung bekämpft und ganz schnell eben mal eine Truppe losgeschickt. Das ist das Schema aus dem Kalten Krieg und deshalb wahrscheinlich wird die Umbenennung wie „PsyOP“ zu „MISO“ nicht akzeptiert.
Eventuell war auch ein Grund vom indirekten zum direkten Wortklang wieder zu wechseln, der Wahlkampf und die Präsidentschaft, welche mit Hackerangriffen und Geheimdienstoperationen durchzogen waren und sind.
Anscheinend spricht genau deshalb nichts mehr dagegen, die Gegebenheiten beim Namen zu nennen, also direkt zu sagen, dass es um die gezielte Manipulation und Beeinflussung von Menschen durch Medieninformationen geht.
Eine Art und Weise, bei der die Medien liebend gerne mit dabei sind, mit dem Grund, dass nun und exklusiv geheime Informationen an das Tageslicht gekommen sind, um diese dann zu verbreiten.
Der Herr Oberstleutnant Brad Carr, der Direktor für Informationsoperationen beim Army Special Operations Command, sagte gegenüber der „Army Times“, dass er
angesichts der "russischen Desinformation" und einer Welt, "in der der Informationskampf komplexer und explizierter wird", stolz darauf ist, ein "PsyOP-Soldat in einer PsyOP-Einheit" zu sein.
Dabei handelt es sich darum, Menschen die im Ausland sind, nach nationalen Zielen zu manipulieren, genau das, was Man u.a. Russland zusprach.
Selbst die Alliierten sollen sich auch weiter auf PsyOP beziehen.
Einer der öffentlichen Sprecher des Führungskommandos für die Spezialeinheiten der US Army, abgekürzt „USASOC“ sagte gegenüber der „Army Times“, dass der Entschluss zur Namensänderung im Oktober getroffen wurde und vor allem einen administrativen Grund hat.
Nach seiner Aussage hat man den anderen Ministerien und Behörden nun zu vermitteln, dass die "PsyOP-Streitkräfte MISO machen".
Wie nun fragt man sich sicherlich.
Also, einerseits wird es scheinbar ehrlicher, doch auf der anderen Seite möchte man nicht zu aggressiv erscheinen.
Angeblich sollen diese Einheiten zwar PsyOP wieder genannt werden, doch, laut Aussage, würden die Soldaten MISO ausführen.
Irritierend oder?
Carr beschreibt dieses in etwa so, dass die Spezialeinheiten keine Spezialeinheiten ausüben, sondern vielmehr eine Vielzahl von Aktivitäten.
Aha, ... nun sollen diese Einheiten für „Psychologische Kriegsführung“ auf irgendeine Weise das Militär durch Informationsoperationen behilflich sein...
In meinen Augen totalere Unfug.
In erster Linie scheint es darum zu gehen, wieder an die goldenen und glorreichen Zeiten einen Anschluss zu knüpfen.
Garantiert besteht dieser nicht aus dem Begriff MISO, sondern eben aus der ehrlicheren Wortbedeutung „Psychologischen Operationen“....

Bajo la dirección de Mercer y Bannon Wylie, se han realizado esfuerzos para desarrollar formas en las que los datos personales puedan ser utilizados para promover y dar forma a Internet, y para construir campañas políticas como la de Ted Cruz y Donald Trump.
La demanda de un "mal uso de datos" de Facebook y el uso extranjero de información personal sin el consentimiento de los usuarios de Facebook afectados, la asociación de GSR (con conexiones de Kogans a Rusia) y "Cambridge Analytica", que está principalmente ocupada por canadienses y europeos, ha sido sobre posibles violaciones legales bajo la ley de EE.UU., que restringe la participación de extranjeros en las elecciones estadounidenses.
Según el artículo de "The Guardian", la "Cambridge Analytica" también presentó en 2014 una propuesta de negocio a una compañía petrolera rusa en estrecho contacto con el presidente ruso Vladimir Putin, que a su vez no tenía nada que ver con el petróleo, sino que se centraba en el "mal funcionamiento electoral". Técnicas "para influir en los electores a partir de uno de sus perfiles psicográficos en línea. Todavía no está claro si se puede hablar de un tipo de conspiración o colusión dentro de la campaña de Trump, esta parte de la historia política actual seguramente continuará.
El profesor de filosofía de la Universidad de Nueva York Tamsin Shaw, citado al final del artículo de Article Cardwalladr, ha descrito la guerra de la información moderna como "la explotación de la tecnología de la información para propaganda, desinformación y operaciones psicológicas" en una reseña de libros del New York Times. Además de la psicología en su conjunto, la profesora Shaw se dirige a las "Cinco Grandes" empresas tecnológicas Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Amazon y Google.
"Sólo en los últimos meses, los estadounidenses han comenzado a leer las noticias sobre los hacks y trolls rusos y han empezado a preguntarse si las plataformas que antes suponían que permitían la libre investigación y comunicación se utilizaban para manipularlos. Aparentemente, se pensó que esto sonaba un poco más inofensivo después de los disturbios de la era Bush y también desplaza los recuerdos de la Guerra Fría. En la era de los medios de comunicación y la guerra cibernética, en tiempos posteriores complementada por la guerra híbrida, de nuevo sólo la fachada fue reemplazada como el nombre, pero detrás de ella fue "PsyOP" aún más ampliar. Existe la posibilidad de que fuera aún mejor canalizar a los agentes del PsyOP hacia las embajadas u otras actividades políticas. Pero en 2014, aparentemente "MISO" se transformó de nuevo en "PsyOP", y luego simplemente "MISO" de nuevo.
Un ir y venir, esta palabra transformación.
Incluso con las Fuerzas Armadas Federales alemanas estos términos cambiaron. Así se transformó de la "guerra psicológica" sobre la "defensa psicológica" a la "información operativa".
Lo creas o no, después de todo Trump tiene un poco más de honestidad hasta cierto punto, especialmente con el poder militar estadounidense. Carr describe esto de una manera que las unidades especiales no hacen fuerzas especiales, sino una variedad de actividades.
Aha, ... ahora estas unidades de "Guerra Psicológica" deberían de alguna manera ayudar a los militares a través de operaciones de información....
En mis ojos, una travesura total.
En primer lugar, parece que se trata de hacer una conexión con los tiempos dorados y gloriosos. Garantizado que esto no consiste en el término MISO, sino sólo de la palabra más honesta que significa "Operaciones Psicológicas" .....

Oft höre ich ja auf zu lesen, wenn mehr als einmal russischer bot im Text genannt wird.
Dass PsyOp zu Miso wurde und die deutsche Entsprechung - definitiv interessant. Müsste ich mal öfters lesen, um es dauerhaft zu behalten.
Das "Long war" Narrativ kenne ich noch nicht so lange und sollte m.E. nicht vergessen werden - dass genau das mit 9/11 und dem war of terror angedacht war.
Israeli "bots" rather than russian bots are also important imo ;-).
And whether Mind Control is widespread or not is not the question. It is the state of the art! Rather I have to keep asking myself in which way I haven't figured out a specific kind of mind control yet.

Schön und wichtig finde ich auch, dass Du auch auf Obamas Strategie eingegangen bist. Der von vielen so verehrte Obama – wenn ich das noch ergänzen darf – wollte nämlich keine 'boots on the ground', also keine Unmengen an Soldaten, sondern lieber mehr Spezialeinheiten (das hast Du eh so schön geschrieben). Was dabei interessant ist, ist, dass er primär auf die SEALs gesetzt hat, die noch heute unter Obamas Strategie leiden und als Ganzes als 'ausgebrannt' gelten; sie sind nämlich weder für 1) den dauerhaften noch 2) für den reinen Krieg am Land ausgebildet, aber Obama wollte halt "unschöne Bilder vermeiden" (ups, den Satz hat ja noch so eine politische Figur geprägt und so manches damit angerichtet)...

Die Massen werden schon je her Manipuliert. Spätestens seit Eward Bernays erst die Propagande für den Einzug der Amerikaner im ersten Weltkrieg mit gestaltet hat und anschließend die Public Relations begründete. Ob nun Propaganda, PR, Psychologische Kriegsführung, MISO oder PsyOP, im Prinzip verbirgt sich dahinter immer das Gleiche. Mit den sozialen Medien und damit verbunden Möglichkeiten, ist es wahrscheinlich noch leichter geworden, die Meinung zu manipulieren. Aber das "freie" Internet bietet uns auch Möglichkeiten, die "Wahrheit" zu erkennen. Umso wichtiger ist es, kritisch zu sein und auf sein Herz zu hören.
