RE: Information Finding Championship- Season 1: Round 26 entry- Philosophy and Rick and Morty

Some people believe that if life has no purpose, then there is no reason for living. While others think that if life has no purpose, that frees a person to find/create and follow their own personal purpose. Which is a more valid point of view or are they both equally valid?

I do not think either of them are valid. If life had no purpose, life would not exist.

Is a life that focuses on avoiding pain and seeking out pleasure a good and worthwhile life? Why or why not?

Does a life without pain truly know what pleasure is? To what standard do you rate your pleasure if you have not known pain?

Two good questions, two quick off the cuff responses, now to take a little time and think about them. I am sure when I relook in 7 days I will be - - -"Like what the hell were you thinking with that response to mr-bike" -- -

I think those were excellent @bashadow! Its interesting seeing others responses and viewing things from a different angle! Thanks for that.

Well, that is the purpose of philosophy to go around and question these things. One day we see it one light, the next hour we could come back with a different experience and thus, a different perspective. :)
