National highaways in India renumbered
All National Highways have been re numbered.
So now North South Highways are numbered Even, and East West highways are Odd numbers
Print this map and past on car windshield so you don't follow a friends instructions on old highway number and go to the wrong place.
The old NH1 which was famous, is now from Leh to Baramulla. So if a friends tells you take NH1 to Ambala, don't fly to Leh and catch NH1, hahaha.

Oh. This is why I was having a mismatch while going to solapur. My cars navigator was showing a different highway number as compared to Google maps.
Car was offline and maps was online.

Wow! I didn’t know that. But I don’t see any point changing the names of the highways. I would definitely like to know what are the reasons behind it.
