PROBLEMS OF PUBLIC INFORMATION, GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN OPEN

The City Government of Banda Aceh has realized the openness of public information through an open data portal since 2014 ago.

Pemko Banda Aceh trains Human Resources and technical discussions with the apparatus to create an open data portal. This open-ended movement continues in 2015-2016 initiated by the Web Foundation with nine incorporated Municipal Government Work Units.

This was stated by Deputy Mayor of Banda Aceh Zainal Arifin at the opening of Workshop and Open Government Exhibition for Transparent and Accountable Governance. The event was organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in cooperation with the National Development Agency and the Banda Aceh City Government, Indonesia at the Hermes Palace Hotel, last Tuesday late August.

According to Zainal Arifin, in the current era of information disclosure, every public body should provide information correctly, accurately, quickly and cheaply to the public as mandated by Law Number 14 of 2008 on the Public Information Disclosure. Including Article 7 paragraph (6) Public Information Disclosure Act states, public bodies can utilize facilities and electronic media to facilitate the public in obtaining the various information needed.

"With ADB facilitation program, the program of data and information disclosure continues to grow and reach the target according to the roadmap set, namely 46 SKPK. This means that 100 percent of SKPK has joined in an open data portal of Banda Aceh City, "he said.

Zainal check, Zainal Arifin familiar greeting hope the implementation of data and information disclosure in SKPK Pemko Banda Aceh will make public services more advanced and growing and more trusted by its citizens.

Zainal's check also thanked and rewarded ADB for assisting and assisting Banda Aceh.

Earlier in the same place, ADB's Michael P Canares presented the award plaque to Pemko Banda Aceh for good cooperation during the implementation of Delivering Knowledge Solutions In Asia and the Pacific-Strengthening Open Government Implementation In Banda Aceh program. Similar awards were also given to the Aceh Anti-Corruption People's Movement, Flower Aceh, PKBI Aceh, and the Aceh Polytechnic.
