RE: Let's Fix Steem By Drastically Modifying Inflation!

in #inflation5 years ago

I didn't read it because I saw how you were confused as to how steem functions, hence my comment, you think (thought?) that steem functions as a tipping economy, yet there's no such thing as tipping on steem, not that I know of, and certainly nothing to suggest that is how it functions. You may think that the white paper is a cruel joke but it's reasoning is sound and it consequently also explains why tipping platforms don't succeed.

Every upvote to another person that hasn't been paid for is a tip.
Are you for real right now?

First can you explain what a vote that has been paid for? You mean vote buying/bidbots, in effect no "self tipping" (except for.. self voting..)?

You think voting on rewards is tipping? That explains it. Sorry bub but they are two entirely different things, one is a Zero Sum Game and the other is a mechanism for distributing an inflatory pool.

You think you've won this argument via your semantic definition of what a 'tip' is. Unbelievable. If I have access to a resource: money; Then I give that money to someone else in exchange for a free service after the fact, THEN IT'S A TIP. The fact that the tip takes the form of inflation is totally inconsequential.

Sorry, the way you defined tip completely undermines everything you have to say.

God you are annoying. How are you not being flagged off the platform yet? Don't worry, when everyone has a free 25% flagging pool you will be. Then we'll see what you have to say about these changes.

Yes because in your skewed perspective what's the difference between tipping and "having access to a resource that you give to someone for a free service".

No bub, it's not a tip. It a called getting a vote, because there's no "resource" given, especially when someone can take that tip away. O wait, that would be theft in your logic.

You can wiggle all you want but no ammount of mental gymnastics will change a Zero Sum Game aka Tipping, into a game that both parties get rewarded, not at each others expense.

O no, I'm shaking in my booties because I will get flagged. I've been flagged before, and I'll get flagged again, Flagging to me is like prison is to Bronson. Mystify my content why don't you, it will pain me so much to know that you do not value what I contribute.

The whitepaper assumes that the best content will be the most highly tipped. The whitepaper is a marketing ploy full of inaccuracies and flat out lies. Proof-of-brain is a fantasy.

No it doesn't, thats not what it assumes at all. What it assumes is that abuse will not be rampant.

What inaccuracies and what flat out lies? Proof of brain is a concept, an idea, whether it's a good idea or not is another thing all together but I don't know anyone that thinks it's perfect or the best thing ever.

proof-of-work is enforced by a hash lottery. proof-of-stake is enforced by investment. proof-of-brain is enforced by delusion. None of the proposed changes have any positive affect regarding the tenants of proof-of-brain.

None of the changes lol. Sure bub, tell me again why a free downvote pool was proposed? Evil whales right? You know why we moved from exponential to linear? You guessed it, evil whales. You know why convergent was proposed? No shit it was evil whales. Same for curation, you know why curation went from 50/50 to 75/25?

iivvill whalez

You know why 50/50 is proposed again...

Hey what do you have to show for your claims of lies? What about your so called assumptions the wp makes?
