Hortikultura Merupakan usaha membudidayakan tanaman buah - buahan, sayuran, dan tanaman hias. Selain hal tersebut hortikultura juga disebut tanaman biofarmata(obat- obatan). Ditinjau dari dari fungsinya tanaman hortikultura dapat memenuhi kebutuhan jasmani sebagai sumber vitamin, mineral dan protein( dari buah dan sayur). Adapun hal tersebut tidak bisa di lihat hanya sebatas manfaatnya saja namun juga ada kriteria yang memang begitu pesat di negri kita indonesia antara lain:
Horticulture is an effort to cultivate fruit plants, vegetables, and ornamental plants. In addition to this horticulture is also called the plant biofarmata (drugs). Viewed from the function of horticulture plants can meet the physical needs as a source of vitamins, minerals and protein (from fruits and vegetables). As for it can not be seen only limited benefits but also there are criteria that are so fast in our country Indonesia among others:

Adapun faktor yang sangat mempengaruhi dari hal tersebut ialah faktor lingkungan dalam menentukan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman hortikultura:
The factors that are very influential of it is the environmental factors in determining the growth and production of horticultural crops:
- Radiasi matahari
- Suhu
- Tanah
- Air
- Solar radiation
- Temperature
- Soil
- Water
