Tak perlu menyebutkan nama, sepulang sekolah, pada sore harinya anak-anak desa Alue Itam Baroeh, Kab. Aceh Utara, Provinsi Aceh ini beramai-ramai datang ke meunasah (mushala) desa untuk mengikuti les sore yang kami adakan selama sebulan, ketika kami bertugas di desa ini. Yap, di Aceh meunasah memang dijadikan pusat pendidikan di desa-desa terpencil.

Aceh Utara, Aceh Province is busy coming to meunasah (mushala) village to follow the afternoon lessons we held for a month, when we served in this village. Yep, in Aceh meunasah is used as a center of education in remote villages.
Antusias untuk mendapatkan ilmu sangat terlihat di wajah anak-anak ini. Bahkan mereka Iebih dulu datang daripada kami, tim pengajar. Anda melihat kantung-kantung kresek hitam dalam foto bukan? Ya, benda itulah sebagai pengganti tas bagi mereka. Dengan segala keterbatasan fasilitas dan Iainnya, apakah anak-anak desa ini malas menuntut ilmu? Tidak,justru mereka datang dengan bahagianya.
