Bangau adalah salah satu binatang yang termasuk kelas Aves dengan ordo Ciconiiformes, dan binatang bangau ini dapat dikonsumsi, rasa dagingnya hampir sama seperti daging kambing, namun tentunya binatang bangau yang masih muda. Dan beberapa pihak tertentu sering memburu binatang bangau yang hidup di alam liar, karena mereka mempunyai maksud tertentu untuk menggunakannya sebagai salah satu alternatif pengobatan.
