Petuah dari Joyoboyo ini, rasanya pas sekali bila dikaitkan dengan kelakuan dari dari para steemian yang aktif di steemit. Maksudnya kecenderungan ikut latah meniru perilaku steemian lainnya dalam mendulang SBD di steemit, salah satu contohnya bila ada yang pakai booster buat naikkan nilai vote, maka yang lainnya banyak yang menirunya dan ikut pakai booster juga. Takut nggak kebagian SBD, mungkin itu penyebab kelatahan antar steemian.

Steemit, sebuah peluang untuk mengembangkan diri.

Steemit telah memberikan kebebasan bagi kita selaku blogger untuk mempergunakannya sesuai dengan keinginan kita, mau posting foto, gambar, tulisan dan hasil karya lainnya yang sesuai selera kita. Bahkan tidak ada sistem pusat sebagai badan sensornya, tetapi diserahkan kepada komunitas itu sendiri.

Kebebasan ini sebaiknya digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan kita sekaligus saling berbagi ilmu dan pengalaman yang kita dapat, akan tetapi trending yang terjadi di steemit saat ini adalah para steemian fokus pada bagaimana mencari SBD, pengikut, sekutu, teman, bolo, gang dan gerombolan sebanyak-banyaknya guna kepentingan mereka sendiri, tanpa terlalu memperdulikan sumbangan atau kontribusi yang bermanfaat bagi komunitas steemit.

Salahkan bila hanya fokus pada perolehan SBD dan teman-teman komunitas sendiri?

Salah satu tujuan utama steemit adalah memberikan peluang kepada pemakainya agar mempunyai pendapatan dari postingan yang mereka buat, oleh karena itu sudah sewajarnya bila steemian juga fokus pada perolehan SBD. Cuma yang menjadi permasalahannya adalah cara memperoleh SBD itu sendiri, ada yang menggunakan booster agar postingannya di vote oleh paus dengan cara meyetor sejumlah sbd pada bot paus atau paus yang memang menjual votenya. Ada juga yang membentuk komunitas dan melalukan vote antar individu di komunitas itu sendiri.

Apakah cara dan tujuan tersebut di atas salah?
