Hal mengejutkan terjadi tidak lama setelah gagalnya Newbee lolos ke babak utama The Kuala Kumpur Major. Di mana pihak manajemen menghapus nama Tang "CatYou" Xiaolei dari daftar squad hanya satu minggu setelah membela roster tersebut.

Singkat, posisinya langsung digantikan oleh Yan "Waixi" Chao dari Sun Gaming.

Hal ini kemudian memunculkan banyak sekali perdebatan mengenai benar tidaknya keputusan yang diambil oleh pihak manajemen. Banyak yang menyebutkan bahwa Newbee seharusnya tetap mempertahankan CatYou dalam squad mengingat rosternya yang masih seumur jagung. Selain itu, kegagalan Newbee di babak qualifikasi juga bisa dikatakan "cukup wajar" mengingat ketatnya persaingan di regional Cina terlihat dari daftar tim dan pemain yang ikut berpartisipasi. Sehingga memberikan waktu lebih banyak kepada squad yang ada untuk beradaptasi dengan gameplay dari masing-masing pemain dapat menjadi keputusan yang terbaik.

Perlu kalian ketahui bahwa tim MGB merupakan salah satu tim projekan milik organisasi Newbee yang dibentuk pada tanggal 10 September lalu.

CatYou adalah pemain didikan dari akademi Newbee.Young yang berhasil promosi ke squad utama menggantikan Hu "Kaka" Liangzhi yang pindah ke organisasi Keen Gaming.
