My Adventure Today | Petualangan Saya Hari Ini

For almost two weeks I have not done any activity other than lying down at home to restore my health condition after hospitalization a few days ago in one of the hospitals in Lhokseumawe City. Today I try to do a little activity as usual to visit "Chocolate garden" located in one of the hinterlands of North Aceh, Aceh Province Indonesia.

The journey for approximately 1 hour from where I live in Lhoseumawe City makes my body a little tired, As you know, The roads of the hinterland region of Aceh is still very apprehensive, Especially in the region of North Aceh. Through the steep and climbing streets, I drive my vehicle to go to "Chocolate garden" in Geuredong Pasee Sub District, North Aceh District.

I have to go through the hill Darussalam, Hill is a famous for steep and steep this is one of the highest hills in the area of ​​North Aceh, Why do I say so?!, From the hill will be seen clearly Mount Geureudong which is one part of the cluster "Bukit Barisan" located on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.

Once during the conflict still in the province of Aceh, Streets in this region is still very severe condition, Every vehicle through this hill must pass military checkpoint on this hill. Plus every vehicle must get ready to block his "Tires" because it is very difficult to climb this steep hill. But now, after the signatured of MoU Helsinky in Finland between the Government of Indonesia and GAM (Free Aceh Movement) the streets in the hinterland of Aceh have little improvement, Especially in the hills "Darussalam hills".

After going through the Darussalam hills , I continue the journey to the capital District Geureudong Pase, the name of village is "Mbang" (Read "Mm-Bang), In this village one of my family lived and duty to guard my Chocolate garden, Here also usually where I leave my vehicle and continue walk to the Chocolate garden which is located approximately two kilometers from the house.

Actually the vehicle can to through this street, But due to cross the small river, I was afraid when returning from the garden the water of the river tide, Due to previous experience I had to leave the vehicle in the garden when the river is tide and return the next day to pick up my vehicle when the river is receding back, So learn from the experience I do not want to take the same risk a second time.

The condition of our chocolate plants is attacked by pests and most of the fruit is eaten by squirrels. Today I pluck all the chocolate that has begun yellowing this chestnut so as not to be eaten by squirrels. For the next I take it home and peeled so then dried for sale to middlemen in the area. This export commodity price is still very guarantee the economic sustainability of farmers in this area, Almost all people here rely on chocolate plants as their economic supported other than Areca nut, Palm and also Rubber.

Not many Chocolate fruit I picked today, but if not, does not seem to be money and just become the food of the squirrel. According to the estimates of chocolate fruit that I picked this after the peeled and dried more or less weighing 10 kilogram, If multiplied by the price of chocolate today more or less I will get income of IDR. 380.000, - Caused very little money, I decided to give to my family , I take IDR.100,000, - for gasoline and pocket money on the street today to relieve fatigue over the past two weeks.

That is the story of my adventure today through the hills to the hinterland of northern Aceh to see the development of chocolate garden as well as relax myself, Gardening is not a hobby for me actually, But gardening is now a new alternative for me as a meditation to eliminate fatigue and noisy noise the city where I live.

Hi steemian, Semoga kalian sehat selalu dan terus dapat beraktivitas seperti biasanya dimanpun kalian berada.

Hampir dua pekan ini saya tidak melakukan aktivitas apapun selain berbaring dirumah untuk memulihkan kondisi kesehatan saya paska opname beberapa hari yang lalu di salah satu Rumah sakit di Kota Lhokseumawe. Hari ini saya mencoba melakukan sedikit kegiatan seperti biasanya menjenguk kebun coklat yang berada di salah satu pedalaman Aceh Utara, Provinsi Aceh Indonesia.

Perjalanan selama kurang lebih 1 jam dari tempat saya berdomisili di Kota Lhoseumawe menjadikan tubuh saya ini sedikit lunglai, Seperti teman teman ketahui bersama jalanan kewilayah pedalaman Aceh masih sangat memprihatinkan, Khususnya di wilayah Aceh Utara. Melalui jalanan terjal dan mendaki saya mengedarai sendiri kendaraan saya untuk menuju kebun coklat peninggalan Ayah semasa konflik dulu di Kecamatan Geuredong Pasee Kecamatan Aceh Utara.

Saya harus melalui bukit Darussalam, Bukit yang terkenal terjal dan curam ini merupakan salah satu bukit tertinggi di daerah Aceh Utara, Mengapa saya berkata demikian ?!. Dari bukit ini akan terlihat jelas Gunung Geureudong yang merupakan salah satu bagian dari gugusan "Bukit Barisan" yang berada di pulau Sumatera, Indonesia.

Dulu semasa konflik masih mendera provinsi Aceh jalanan diwilayah ini masih sangat parah sekali kondisinya, Setiap kendaraan yang melalui bukit ini harus melalui pos pemeriksaan militer di bukit ini. Ditambah lagi setiap kendaraan harus siap-siap mengganjal "Ban"-nya karena sangat susah sekali mendaki bukit yang terjal ini. Namun kini paska ditandatanganinya MoU Helsinky di Finlandia antara Pemerintah RI dan GAM (Gerakan Aceh Merdeka) jalanan di pedalaman Aceh sudah sedikit ada perbaikan, Khususnya di daerah perbukitan seperti di Bukit Darussalam ini.

Setelah melalui bukit Darussalam saya melanjutkan perjalanan ke ibu kota Kecamatan Geureudong Pase, Nama desanya "Mbang" (Dibaca Mm-Bang), Di desa inilah salah seorang famili saya tinggal dan bertugas menjaga kebun milik Ayah, Di sini juga biasanya tempat saya menitip kendaraan dan melanjutkan perjalanan kaki menuju kebun cokelat yang berada kurang lebih dua kilometer dari rumah singgah tersebut.

Sebenarnya kendaraan bisa melalui jalanan ini, Namun karena harus menyeberangi sungai kecil saya takut ketika kembali dari kebun nantinya air sungai pasang, Karena pengalaman sebelumnya saya harus meninggalkan kendaraan di kebun ketika air sungai ini pasang dan kembali keesokan harinya untuk mengambil kendaraan saya ketika air sudah surut kembali, Maka belajar dari pengalaman tersebut saya tidak mau ambil resiko yang sama untuk kedua kalinya.

Kondisi tanaman cokelat kami diserang hama dan kebanyakan buahnya dimakan oleh tupai, Hari ini terpakasa saya memetik seluruh buah cokelat yang sudah mulai menguning keorenan ini agar tidak dimakan tupai, Untuk selanjutnya saya bawa pulang dan di kupas serta dikeringkan untuk dijual kepada tengkulak di daerah tersebut. Harga komoditi eksport ini masih sangat menjamin keberlangsungan ekonomi petani di daerah ini, Hampir semua masyarakat disini mengandalkan tanaman cokelat sebagai penompang ekonomi mereka selain tanaman Pinang, Sawit dan juga Karet.

Tidak terlalu banyak buah Cokelat yang saya petik hari ini, Namun jika tidak deptik sepertinya tidak akan menjadi uang dan hanya menjadi makanan sang tupai. Menurut perkiraan buah cokelat yang saya petik ini setelah di kupas dan di keringkan kurang lebih ada seberat 10 kilogram, Kalau dikalikan harga cokelat saat ini kurang lebih saya akan memperoleh income sebesar Rp. 380.000,- karena terlalu sedikit saya putuskan untuk diberikan kepada famili saya saja, Saya ambil Rp. 100.000,- untuk bensin dan uang makan sambil jalan-jalan hari ini untuk menghilangkan kepenatan selama dua pekan terakhir ini.

Itulah cerita perjalanan saya hari ini menyusuri perbukitan menuju wilayah pedalaman Aceh utara hari ini untuk melihat perkembangan kebun Cokelat sekaligus merelaksasi diri, Berkebun bukan merupakan hobby bagi saya sebenarnya, Namun berkebun kini menjadi alternatif baru bagi saya sebagai media untuk menghilangkan kepenatan dan hingar bingar bisingnya kondisi kota tempat saya berdomisli.

Saya rekomendasikan kepada teman-teman steemian untuk mulai berkebun, Karena menurut hemat saya berkebun itu hampir sama dengan kita berkarya di Steemit platform ini, Selain bisa menjadi Pasif income bagi kita, Tentunya sebagai tempat kita mereleksasi diri dari suasana kepenatan kehidupan sehari-hari.
