Enjoying the Typical Food of Aceh, Sate Matang | Menikmati Makanan Khas Aceh, Sate Matang

Tonight I had the opportunity to enjoy a special culinary cuisine of Aceh province, Indonesia "Sate Matang" where I live in the city of Lhokseumawe. Sate matang is known by the name of Satee Matang intersection "Cot Mambong" located right next the mosque Cunda Lhokseumawe city. If I want to enjoy this special meal I often come here with my family.

Sate Matang is a meat puncture in the form of satay in the province of Aceh. This satay called satay matang because the beginning of this sate was introduced by the seller in the town of Matang Geuleumpang Dua a district town in Bireuen district. In the 90s sate is popular in several big cities in Aceh, now a lot of scattered satay sellers in Aceh and Medan city of North Sumatra that sells satay with the label "Sate matang".

The main ingredient of Sate matang is goat meat, due to the price of goat meat is more expensive then often cooked using beef. The process of making and cooking the cooked satay is not much different from other regions of Indonesia, Cut pieces of meat that have been cleaned and cut into small dice. Once pinned on the prick satay then soaked in spice mixture in the form of spices in a long time. Next satay ready to be burned in roasting

As a complement is a typical gravy goat broth for sprinkling leek, Slightly thick and taste spices such as curry dishes. The spices used in making this broth produce a strong aroma, fresh and warm. The spices used consist of cardamom, mace, cloves, cinnamon and pepper.

Sate Matang located in Lhokseumawe city is no different from satay matang originating from its original area in "Satay City" Matangglumpangdua, Starting the process of preparation of seasoning, slices of meat to broth sauce which become the accompaniment of this special food is also no different, It's just the cooked Sate matang made from peanuts or better known as "peanut seasoning" is more smoother than usual.

In terms of taste of cooked satay located in the intersection "Cot mambong" Lhokseumawe city is also not much different from the cooked satay I've tasted, This proved not only my taste, Because I see the busyness of the chefs tonight is very crowded, Even when turn to order this typical food I have to wait for half an hour, Because they have wait raw Satay that is still processed behind the stall by the workers due to the existing stock is up.

If steemian friends visit Lhokseumawe city, Take a moment to taste the Satay matang at the corner of this Mambong intersection, I am sure my friends will not be disappointed because the service and dish of typical Aceh food is very extraordinary, In terms of price friend- friends just spend IDR. 3000, - per satay that would be friends eat, For one portion you will only pay IDR. 20.000, - is complete with Ice tea as a thirsty of the pleasure this unparalleled special food, Very economical, Is not it?!.

Malam ini saya berkesempatan menikmati santapan kuliner khas Provinsi Aceh, Indonesia "Satee Matang" di tempat saya berdomisili di kota Lhokseumawe. Satee Matang ini dikenal dengan nama Satee Matang simpang "Cot Mambong" yang berlokasi tepat di samping mesjid Cunda kota Lhokseumawe. Jika saya ingin menikmati santapan khas ini saya sering kesini bersama keluarga.

Sate Matang adalah tusukan daging berupa sate yang ada di provinsi Aceh. Sate ini dinamakan dengan sate matang karena awal mulanya sate ini diperkenalkan oleh penjualnya di kota Matang Geuleumpang Dua sebuah kota kecamatan di kabupaten Bireuen. Pada tahun 90 an sate ini populer dibeberapa kota besar di Aceh, kini banyak sekali bertebaran penjual sate di Aceh dan kota Medan Sumatera Utara yang menjajakan sate dengan label "Sate matang".

Bahan utama masakan sate matang adalah daging kambing, berhubung dengan harga daging kambing yang lebih mahal maka seringkali Sate matang dibuat menggunakan daging sapi. Proses pembuatan dan memasak sate matang tidak jauh berbeda dengan sate daerah lain di Indonesia, potongan daging yang telah dibersihkan dan dipotong dadu dalam ukuran kecil. Setelah disematkan pada tusukan sate lalu direndam dalam adonan bumbu berupa rempah-rempah dalam waktu yang agak lama. Selanjutnya sate siap untuk dibakar di pemanggangan.

Sebagai pelengkap adalah kuah kaldu kambing yang khas karena taburan daun bawang, agak kental dan berasa rempah seperti masakan kari. Rempah-rempah yang digunakan dalam membuat kuah kaldu ini menghasilkan aroma yang kuat, segar dan hangat. Adapun rempah yang digunakan terdiri dari kapulaga, bunga lawang, cengkeh, kayu manis dan merica.

Sate Matang yang berada di kota Lhokseumawe tidak berbeda dengan sate matang yang berasal dari daerah aslinya di "Kota sate" Matangglumpangdua, Mulai proses penyiapan bumbu, Irisan daging hingga kuah kaldu yang menjadi iringan makanan khas ini juga tidak berbeda, Hanya saja bumbu sate matang yang terbuat dari kacang tanah atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah "Bumbu kacang" lebih halus dari biasanya.

Dari segi rasa Sate matang yang terletak di simpang "Cot mambong" kota Lhokseumawe ini juga tidak jauh berbeda dari sate matang yang pernah saya cicipi, Ini terbukti bukan hanya dilidah saya saja, Karena saya melihat kesibukan para koki malam ini sangat padat sekali, Bahkan ketika giliran saya memesan makana khas ini saya harus menunggu selama setengah jam, karena harus menunggu sate mentah yang masih diproses di belakang warung oleh para pekerja dikarenakan stok yang ada sudah habis.

Jika teman-teman steemian berkunjung ke kota Lhokseumawe, Sempatkan diri untuk mencicipi sate matang yang berada di sudut simpang Cot mambong ini, Saya yakin teman teman tidak bakalan kecewa karena pelayanan dan sajian makanan khas Aceh ini sangat luar biasa sekali, Dari segi harga teman-teman cukup merogoh kocek Rp. 3000,- pertusuk sate yang bakal teman-teman santap, Untuk satu porsinya teman teman hanya akan membayar Rp. 20.000,- sudah lengkap denga teh dingin sebagai pelepas dahaga kenikmatan makanan khas yang tiada duanya ini, Murah sekali bukan teman-teman?!.

Yum, that looks delicious @dilimunanzar. Some of the best Satays I have ever had were in Malaysia but I must have some in Aceh one day. For me its the peanut sauce that makes the dish most excellent (and the spices of course).
