A drop of our blood benefits humans
The date of June 14 is set as the day of global blood donation or World Blood Donor Day. From 2004 until now, every year routine to be celebrated in various parts of the world including in Indonesia. This blood donor world day coincides with the birth of Karl Landsteiner, the Nobel laureate, the inventor of the A-B-O blood type system.

The commemoration of the blood donation day aims to raise public awareness as a sense of humanity humanity as well as a form of appreciation to all blood donors who have regularly donated their blood every three months.
Even so, the same thing is done by Indonesian Red Cross volunteers (PMI) Ranting Nisam North Aceh District, they always invite people to donate blood for the life of others. They are there to save others. "Blood is the savior of the soul, the blood donor of noble deeds, then it would be nice if we donate our blood to humanity" that is what Tuhadar one of PMI volunteers delivered Nisam subdistrict.
Basically this activity aims to increase public awareness that they can help save the lives of others, starting from small things like donating blood.
It is hoped that each individual will not only occasionally become a donor, but is committed to regularly donating his blood to realize the availability of sufficient blood as preparation in times of crisis.
Blood plays a very important role in surgical procedures, and is a vital component for saving lives in urgent situations caused by accidents, natural disasters, and so on.
According to WHO data, over the past 10 years, more than 250 million people worldwide have been affected by natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and landslides, as well as disasters caused by human negligence such as traffic accidents and armed conflict.

The donated blood will pass through a series of tests to ensure that the collected blood is free from various diseases and meets the requirements to be transfused to others in need.
In Indonesia alone, in recent years, through the Ministry of Health, conducted various activities to increase public awareness of the importance of routine blood donation. Donate your blood, because a drop of our blood can give life to the lives of others.
