Salak (Snake Fruit) PONDOH....Very Famous For Its Sweetness

Salak Pondoh is an important fruit in the Sleman Regency and Yogyakarta Special Region (Province) on the Island of Java. Salak Pondoh has three superior variations, namely Pondoh Hitam (Black Pondoh), Pondoh Gading (Ivory/yellowish-skinned Pondoh) and Pondoh Super. Salak are also known as Snake Fruit due to the reddish brown scaly skin.

Sleman Regency located in the Northern part of the Yogyakarta Special Region (Province) is known as the area of Salak (Snake Fruit) producer. Tourists visited Yogyakarta and Sleman are used to buy Salak Pondoh as gift brought back from a trip. Many places in Yogyakarta, especially Sleman that sell Salak Pondoh, and one of them is in the area of the Tempel Turi road.
