Success Strory Greening in Krueng Peusangan

Last December 2016, the Krueng Peusangan Watershed Forum (FDKP) in collaboration with the River Basin Management and Protection Forest (BPDASHL) Krueng Aceh and Aceh Green Community (AGC) implemented greening on Krueng Peusangan, precisely in Blang Me Village, Kuta Blang District, Regency Bireuen, Aceh. The planting was also attended by the Regent of Bireuen, Ir Mukhtar MSi who is also the Vice Regent.

February 2018, Tunas Muda Farmer Group of Blang Me Village invites FDKP and AGC to carry out the joint planting on the Krueng Peusangan bank located in the village. In 2017, FDKP recommended the Tunas Muda Group of Blang Me to get the Seed Plantation (KBR) from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia. Before planting, we first make sure the tree we planted in December 2016 is still there, or not.

With joy and touched, we saw the mahogany tree we planted in December 2016 and has grown in the bebar Krueng Peusangan, we are happy with the image taken by the mahogany tree.

We would like to thank Baharuddin, the young leaders of Blang Me and Basri Ibrahim, Keuchik Blang Me who have guarded and cared for the mahogany trees we planted, may the benefits of the tree can be felt by our children and grandchildren later, because the village is still safe from the ferocity of water flow in Krueng Peusangan.
