How to make Biogas from Cow manure

Good afternoon steemian. On this occasion I want to share an article about how to process cow dung into biogas that can be utilized by the community.

How to Make Biogas From Cow Manure Biogas from cow manure is obtained from anaerobic decomposition with the help of microorganisms. Making biogas from cow dung must be anaerobic (covered from free air) to produce gas that is mostly methane gas (which has flammable properties) and carbon dioxide, this gas is called biogas.

Fermentation process for the formation of maximum biogas at a temperature of 30-55 C, where at the temperature of microorganisms can remodel organic materials optimally. The result of organic material reshuffle by bacteria is methane gas as seen in table below:

Here is the composition of biogas (%) cow dung and livestock manure mixture with agricultural residue Cow Manure Making Equipment Cow:

Temporary Shelter; Made from a box with a size of 0.5 m x 0.5 m x 0.5 m is useful as a place to dilute cow dung.
Digester; The main building of the biogas installation is the digester. Digester serves to accommodate the methane gas result of organic material reshuffle by bacteria. The most widely used type of digester is the continuous feeding model in which the organic material is filled continuously every day. The size of the digester depends on the cattle manure produced and the amount of biogas desired. The required land is about 16 m2. To make digester required building materials such as sand, cement, stone, coral, red brick, construction iron, paint and pipe prolon.
Plastic Gas Storage; Made of thick plastic material shaped tube that is useful to accommodate the methane gas produced from the digester. Methane gas is then supplied to the gas stove.
Gas stove; Serves as a tool to burn methane gas to produce fire. This fire is used for cooking.
Composting reservoirs; This tub can be made by multiplying a hole size of 2 m x 3 m with a depth of 1 m as a compost shelter generated from the digester.

Stages of Making Cow Manure Biogas.
After the digester equipment is installed then the next step is the making of biogas from the dirt in the following way:
Cow manure is mixed with water to form a mud with a ratio of 1: 1 in a tank. At the time of stirring the garbage is removed from the tank. Stirring is done until the mud forms from cow dung.
The mud from the temporary storage basin is then flown to the digester. On the first filling the digester must be filled to full.
Added 1 liter of starter (sold in the market) and fresh rumen contents from slaughterhouses (RPH) for 5 sacks for the digester 3.5 - 5.0 m2 capacity. After a full digester, the gas tap is closed so that the fermentation process occurs.
The methane gas has already begun on the 10th day and on the 1st to 8th day the gas is CO2. At the composition of CH4 54% and CO2 27% then biogas will light up.
On the 14th day the gas formed can be used to light a fire on a gas stove or other necessities. Starting this 14th day we can produce biogas energy that is always renewable. This biogas does not smell like the smell of cow dung.
The digester continues to be filled with continuous cow sludge so as to produce optimal biogas.
Compost that comes out of the digester in a container in a compost storage vessel. Liquid compost is packed into the deregent whereas if you want to be packed in sacks then the compost should be dried.

Thus information on how to make biogas from cow dung and read also how to make compost from cow dung.
