Individualism vs Collectivism

Individualism seeks to create an environment where everyone is able to be unique and distinct from one another, whereas collectivism seeks to create an environment where everyone must be the same as and equal to one another. The main tool of individualism is a proper education, which trains the mind ~how~ to think objectively and independently, but the main tool of collectivism is mass schooling, which conditions the mind ~what~ to think, in order to affect uniformity and conformity of thought, feeling, and behavior. Individualists perceive that their rights are a birthright that stems from their creator, while collectivists are granted privileges and civil rights by their governors and rulers. An individual becomes so through educating themselves and developing their psyche, whereas the current status of most people is that of servitude to the whims of those who steer the collective for their own selfish gains.
