It's not really the fault of cryptocurrency. Just people falling in for a scam due to the allure of celebrities hyping it up. Most likely the celebrities got paid handsomely for affiliate revshares or something like that, but they probably got kooked too in the end..

Yes i agree

The problem is.. why are you associating bitcoin with this ponzi.. people see only the word bitcoin and ponzi.. don't read the content and talk negative about bitcoin. Bitcoin is the medium of exchange for money. Even Mexican drug cartels are using dollar for their smuggling of drugs.. so dollar is bad too.. in this case

"why are you associating bitcoin with this ponzi.." If you are addressing me my answer is because it is associated with the title and i am bringing the news as they are i dont change them according to what i like and dislike. if you are addressing the writer i would say maybe he is ignorant. 😉

Celebrities are mostly only after money. All celebrity advertisements should be banned as their fans have to pay heavily for it.

Banks got alerted and blocked payments. This made the company to switch to bitcoin, where there was no such restriction to facilitate this scam. Perhaps this is the reason media is taking sides with fiat currency compared to bitcoin. People's safety is being taken care of by conventional banks through over-monitoring and inflexible regulations!
