A farmer also called an agriculturer which raising living organisms for the food or raw materials. 

This term farmer is best defined for those who grow crops and own tje domestic animals. 

Farming has been dated back as far as catholic era. By the bronze age peoples are heavily dependent on irrigation to grow crops. Animal husbandory the practice of rearing animals for specifically for farming purpose. 

Now the main broblem in india is all about suicide of farmers which is known as agrarian crisis. It has been exercabedet by the inability to repay growing debt. During the duration of 1998-2018 it has resulted in the suicide of 300000 farmersin the country often by drinking pestisides itself. India is an agrarian country with about 70% of its people depending on agriculture. 

In 2014 the national crime record bureau of india reported 5650 suicides in india. 

Various reason has reported that why farmers commit suicides in india including flood, draught, debt etc. 

To prevent from farmers doing suicides government of india launched many schemes for farmers throughout the country. Such as - Pradhan mantri fasal bima yojna, farm income insurance, etc.
