Republic day ride || Giving back to the community one step at a time ||

I wish all my Fellow Indians a Happy Republic Day.

So the main objective for today was to give something back to the community. So we the biking community decided on just spending time at an old age home and what a blissful experience that was indeed.

So we started the day off by meeting up at our regular start off point which is a fuel station owned by one of our friends.

These were our rides

So the bikes present todsy were a Ducati Panigale, BMW GS1200, Suzuki GSX1000-R, a Harley Breakout and another Harley which I don't know the name off. More bikes were to join at the half way mark like the CBR 650F, the Triump Tiger and 2 more Harleys and a Ducari.

My Ride for the day

Just before the destination we decided on stopping for breakfast at this place called as Ocean Pearl.

After breakfast in Ocean Pearl we reached the destination which is this Old Age home called KUTEERA.

For those who don't know what an old age home is, as the name suggests it's a place where old aged folks are taken care of as their family couldn't due to their own circumstances.

We went there in hopes of spending time with them and spreading some joy. We had got them some food, icecream and some cloths.

Though we all went there to spread happiness amount them, we all were left a little numb somewhere deep down after meeting the folks there. There were folks of age ranging from 70 till 100. There was this one perticular lady who was 100 years old, 100 years!

Some of them were staying here since a year n some since over a decade. We spoke to them for a while, they were telling us a few of our stories. It's hard to imagine their situation where they brought up a family all those years just to be left with strangers who are in a similar situation. I mean It just feels quite lonely. Hence they were really glad to interact with us. Having so many guests at once just to thsee them is something of a joyous moment for them.

We had a good time there. I felt this was the best way we could spend the republic holiday.
