Cheriyaanaad Temple festivities celebration.
So , the day before yesterday I and my family went to the festivities night Celebration at the Cheriyannad temple.It is an annual held once a year mostly in the month of February.The temple is located in the southern most part of India in the state of Kerala. The full name of the temple is Cheriyanaad Sree Bala Subramaniyaam swami temple. It is a very famous temple of Kerala and has got a great historic value to it.The beauty of the temple is unmatched. The art, architecture and craftsmanship used in the construction of building is of great importance and value.
The aesthetic prowess of Vasthukala is manifested in temple construction through renowned Vaasthu Sastra Experts Edavankkattu Achari’s exemplary work’s. The major part of ‘Daru’ Structures are gifted by this Vaastu Experts itself before Lord Balasubrahmany Swami.

The is known as the Pallivilaka(High Risen wooden Rath). It is an important part of the celebration.Over 1000s of Diyas(earthen candles) are put together to design this structure.
This is the picture of Shakaran the Elephant. He is believed to be carrying the God for Aaratt.He is one of the famous elephants of Kerala and also is one of the biggest once.Despite all the Drumbeats and noises he (the elephant) is always calm as he has got used being around people.

There are multiple raths part of this celebrations.
Going to this celebration was a very fun thing. We all enjoyed it. In the presence of the all the whole town danced and rejoiced in the whole event. People even from far off districts had visited to feel the divine nature of the event. The celebration ran a lot late into the night but we all wanted it to go on for ever and let us continue in the presence of almighty.
Now as the celebration are over we all have a bucketload of memories with to rethink and enjoy as wait of the next year's celebrations to come sooner.
