Panchayati Raj

We have devolved power to Panchayats and with the completion of Panchayat elections in Bihar, every State, barring North-Eastern States and Jammu and Kashmir has been covered under the Panchayati Raj. We should give it an honest try and I am confident it would solve many problems facing the country and bring her strength and success. At the same time, we need a strong and stable government at the Centre with full powers over States. For this, we need to amend Constitution so that only national parties can contest elections to the Lok Sabha. The regional parties have a very mypoic view of national interest; their sole concern being the interest of their respective States only.
