After T20 Series win against England (2-1) Men in Blue has been in cloud nine and that reflected in the very 1st ODI match as well. India won the 1st ODI match which was played in Trent Bridge, Nottingham. The confidence level got boosted up after the Team India bagged the T20 series. This is the same English side who before the start of the series against India was being adjudged as the best ODI Team on the field and on the paper as well after defeating Australia. Though it's never too late. There are two more games left in this ODI series for the home side to turn the game in their favour and this side is much capable of doing things in the right mindset & pattern. The first ODI match was played yesterday (12th July) at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. India won the Toss & as usual England was sent out to bat and openers Jason Roy & Jonny Bairstow started proving Virat Kohli's decision of bowling first wrong and they put a quick 73 runs on the board before Jason Roy was caught out by Kuldeep Yadav at his individual score of 38 runs in just 35 balls. At this point it seemed that England would definitely put a huge total in front of India but that very moment came when Virat Kohli gave the bowl to Kuldeep Yadav and the match turned to India's favor. In other words, the destiny had something else to offer for the English batsmen and they were unaware of the storm coming in their way in form of Kuldeep Yadav. With a decent line & length maintained throughout his spell of 10 overs, he kept the opponent dance in his own tunes. He finished his spell for 10-0-25-6. his is the best performance by a a left-handed spinner in any ODI match. For the other bowlers, Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 and Umesh Yadav took 2 wickets. England finished their innings at 268 all out in 49.5 overs.

In reply, India start was blistering. They exactly took off from where they left in the last match of T20 Series.'s start was poor. They quickly put up 59 in the board in just 7.4 overs and right after that Shikhar Dhawan lost his patience. Before he got out he made his innings of 40 runs in just 27 balls with 8 boundaries. Then, whatever happened was a history. Rohit Sharma again showed his class in ODI as well after he made a destructive century in the last T20 decider. Rohit Sharma remained not out at 137 runs in just 114 balls with the help of 15 boundaries and 4 over-boundaries.. That day Virat Kohli came in the 2nd down and played attacking cricket with sensible strokes. He scored 75 runs in 82 balls. India reached the total with ease with 59 balls to spare. and lead the series of 3 matches to 1-0.
