All I know is that in Korea, Netflix is not very popular. There's a site called ondisk.co.kr and this is what most Koreans use to watch movies. Koreans go to China (or people in China?) go to the chinese theater and videotape movies in China before the movie comes out in Korea. Then they take the movie and put it up on ondisk. Obviously they get paid big money for doing this. Its all illegal but nobody cares! So South Koreans get to watch new movies before they're released in the korean theaters. It's a very popular site and it costs around $10 a month.
Ondisk also has other sections as well, such as computer software and utilities. Everything is a free download.
I paid nothing except for the 10 bucks to get photoshop, illustrator, all the microsoft programs, and editing software. Definitely illegal in foreign eyes, but it's hard not to take advantage of it because of the "free" opportunities. Also this is the only way for koreans to watch porno, so i think this site will go on forever. porno is kinda illegal i think in korea because the government censors everything out.

So...ondisk is the #1 site in korea for movies.
