Crypto Theft in India

India just saw its biggest crypto theft. Economic Times reports that hackers stole 438 bitcoins worth over ₹20 crore from cryptocurrency exchange Coinsecure, which has nearly two lakh users in the country. The exchange tried to track down the hackers, but all the data logs of the affected wallets had been deleted. Coinsecure has filed a police complaint accusing its chief scientific officer Amitabh Saxena of siphoning off the money. Meanwhile, CEO Mohit Kalra has assured customers that the exchange will repay them if the funds are not recovered.
