For those who don't know what holi is, it is a festival of colours celebrated in India. It signifies happiness and love and also it is a sign to say goodbye to winters and heartly welcoming spring season.
It is played with colourful colours and water filled balloons.
Back in time it was a peaceful festival where families used to greet everyone applying colours on their foreheads or cheeks. But as time flew, people started hitting eggs, tomatoes, cow dunk, and what not. Even animals suffer alot because of these colours.
