As you say, it's important upskill. Never leave your future in the hands of your employer. There's no loyalty. Technology is a good thing, but increased technology is definitely putting people out of work. The good news is, it's also creating new jobs with new skills. Who's going to get those jobs? The people who can show the highest proficiency in those new skills. This is a case where the early birds will get the worms. Keep upskilling. It's the best job security you have.
