RE: Incredible You! - A Superpower You Can Learn

You can learn to fly.
There is a whole group of transcendental meditators who do.
Flying does not break any laws of physics...

Well, i guess if you insists that gravity is caused by mass attracting, than yes, it does break the laws of physics, but they were never laws of the universe to begin with.

Sort:

Let me guess, they're too scared to show their powers, or you have to be chosen before they'll demonstrate their amazing flying abilities to you?

The burden of proof is not with me.

The burden of proof is with you.
And only you.

If you do not believe, you will not see.
Your life will be forever filled with just missing them.

I told you of something that is outside of your bubble, and it is up to you what you will do with that information.

The burden of proof is with you.
And only you.

No it's not.

If you do not believe, you will not see.

Reality doesn't require belief, if you don't believe in the sun it still exists.

I told you of something that is outside of your bubble, and it is up to you what you will do with that information.

I choose to ignore it.

You do not believe in dozens of things i interact with on a daily basis.

There are all kinds of things you (and me) do not see. Its like talking about IR and UV light, when talking about our eyes.

Here is an example that you can find a lot of literature about:
Many people see angels.
They are all around us. There are at least three angels for every person on the planet.

You, i take it, have never seen an angel. So, does that mean they do not exist? Since none of these people who have seen them can show them to you?

I know you are determined to destroy reason and logic, but I can't let this one pass.

Not believing in something and not being able to observe something are two completely different things.

I can't see Infrared Light, but with the right equipment I can detect it, ditto UV.

No amount of equipment will detect angels because they don't exist, or next time you see one, grab a selfie and post it, which will either be proof of the phenomenon, or at the very least your photo editing skills.

You, i take it, have never seen an angel. So, does that mean they do not exist?

Yes that is exactly what it means.

I don't insist, empirical evidence proves it to be the case; if you can prove otherwise then clear a space on your mantelpiece for the Nobel Prize you'll receive when you present your gobbledy gook peer reviewed paper to the Physics Society.

Its already been done.
And no, there was no Nobel Prize,
and no, none of the "peer reviews" will accept the facts.

Because, if they accept the fact that gravity is not caused by mass, then... well, you just throw out the entire science book.

But, go on believing in an insane guy who played with giant balls in a barn, which no one has duplicated, as empirical evidence.

Its already been done.

No it hasn't.

And no, there was no Nobel Prize,

You might be surprised to learn that I knew that before you told me.

and no, none of the "peer reviews" will accept the facts.

That's because just saying things like "gravity is not an attractive force towards the centre of a mass" does not make it fact. It's merely stating an ill-informed opinion which you can never, ever hope to prove.

But, go on believing in an insane guy who played with giant balls in a barn, which no one has duplicated, as empirical evidence.

Have you heard of Einstein's Theory of General Relativity? It has nothing to do with balls or barns, and it perfectly, and rather elegantly describes the way gravity works.

But yeah, you go on thinking about balls and barns.
