The only Immortal organism on Earth

in #immortal7 years ago (edited)

This jellyfish, called Nutritular Turritopsis, is the only beings discovered so far, capable of reversing the aging process.

This amazing jellyfish is able to transform cells from a mature state into undeveloped cells, thus reversing the classic process of aging the body. This strange, unique process on Earth makes the jellyfish immortal, the jellyfish being returned to the state of polyp for eternity.

This strange creature has a maximum diameter of 4.5 millimeters and has about the same height. In the shape of a bell, it is almost invisible to the human eye.

The specialists hope that Turritopsis will help them to discover the elixir of eternal youth in the case of humans or, at least, extend our life considerably.

Please resteem this post if you didn't know something like this exists.

wow....great....thanks for sharing man
I always learn a new thing from u...keep it up✌

Lol, of all the things on earth to be immortal...a jellyfish! I guess it could be worse ;)

damm great to know about this :O

I remember an ad on tv about a pill made from jelly fish. I didn't know that jelly fish has such an impact on ageing.

yes, it is amazing!

And what exactly would you get out of extending human lives? Overpopulation? We certainly don't want that, do we? And inhabiting other planets is just a pipe dream.

Anyway in 600 years the Earth will be on fire if we will continue to grow like that :). We need to discover places that nobody discovered before.

In my opinion, I don't think we can be sure it is the only immortal organism on Earth...we can not be sure of anything.

I agree. At least is the only one discovered :D

Thanks, I'm glad you agree!

I never tought that something imortal will ever exist, but is cool that it does and is the first step for humankind in exploring the imortality

How much of your consciousness would you trade for extended longevity? This jellyfish may be immortal, but it doesn't have a brain... Maybe it's worth it?

It is a problem, if the human eye can not see it, hehehehe. the image is very good. thanks for sharing.

In my last post I am sharing a very common creature on coral reefs. the spectacular (Diadema antillarum)
