Being Against Illegal Immigration Does Not Mean That You're Racist

As a visible minority 1st generation Guyanese-Canadian I know how difficult it is for white people to voice their opinion of being against illegal immigration.

I know white people who are great loving people that are against illegal immigration and afraid to say it out loud because of their fear of being labeled a racist. I usually have to mention that I’m against illegal immigration and only then will they admit it as well. Why? Sadly, in our politically correct world, white people who say the wrong thing to the wrong person can have their entire life destroyed by progressive social justice warrior (SJW) liberals.

Another shooting of a black man? Was it by a white police officer? “He must have been racist.” Of course. Clearly, there’s no other possibility.

In reality, it’s just the appearance of racism, not racism itself. And visible minorities know this as well. We know that we can use the label of racism to denigrate our opponents if things aren’t looking good for us. It’s a cheap and disingenuous shot, but it works now and again. Why? Because of the optics. The perception of an event just looks bad.

As you should know by now, life isn’t about reality, it’s about the perception of reality.

In most police cases, it’s not actual racism, but a judgment of a person’s character in whatever act, regardless of race.

Police officers aren’t beating you up because they’re a racist. It’s either because they’re an *sshole or because they think you’re an *sshole. Ones character, instead of one’s race/ethnicity is usually the real culprit being judged by a police officer.

And just so we’re clear, I have very little love for police officers. I was at the Toronto G20 Summit in 2010 went Canadian police beat the shit out of regular people with a smile. Always nice to see police at their finest when they’re unburdened with the rule of law and consequences for their actions.

Only one police officer was convicted:

And lost 60 days of paid vacation. Fabulous.

On a side note, I know white people that love rap music and enjoy singing a faithful rendition of it with all the ngga/ngger connotations. Do they hate black people or visible minorities? No. They’re just having fun with the song. They’re not oppressing anyone. If you feel offended, that’s on you. Get it over it and move on. And just to note, it’s powerfully stupid that adults describe the term ngger/ngga as the N-word. What a joke.

In 2018, there’s significant pressure on white people to conform to the new ideals of the progressive movement that supposedly speaks for everyone. The pressure to conform in turning a blind eye to illegal immigration and no borders:

...to supporting political correctness.

...to supporting the BLM movement.

...to be against a strong US manufacturing sector.

...to be against people who support the US national anthem or have American flags on their lawns/garages.

...which is all ridiculous of course.

While many believe that 2018 and after is the era for progressives to be the dominant voice of the Democrats, it’s just various special interest groups culling people on one side or the other. I’m anti-religion, which means that I don’t support the views of Christian/Catholic white religious believers. But I don’t support the visible minority progressive socialist vision either. And that’s okay. You don’t have to choose sides. The world won’t collapse because you choose not to take a side. You can be a rational person and have ideologies from a wide spectrum of labels.

But let’s get back to the issue. The idea that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency should be abolished in the name of supporting visible minorities and illegal immigration is powerfully irrational.

All rational people should be against it.

But as we all know, rationality usually goes out the window when popular ideologies are cemented. It’s hilarious and tragic that liberals apply this to conservatives but don’t apply it to themselves.

Generally speaking, liberals can’t admit that they’re lost in their ideological bubble. They only see facts. But as I mentioned time and time again in my articles, life is about the perception of reality vs. reality itself.
