I’m leaning toward #2, because I like the foreground & background separation you get with the monotone background, and it’s more interesting than the grey scale approach of #3. I wonder if marrying the foreground colors of #1 into #2 wouldn’t pump it up more and make it more dynamic. Those bluish purples could make a nice complimentary color scheme to the yellow.
