In many ways but one could be through ones deeds one can accumulate points towards ones life account, for example being a good parent and raising caring loving children gets rewards. As with steemits one aquires steems for participation, well why not in life, why cant we accumulate point that can be exchanged for participating in life, but instead of being rewarded for getting on top of another let rewards decency for example...
