I beg to differ, I mean your points are valid, but your perspective is a bit skewed... I too think the platform is "working as designed" and instead of working for Solutions to perceived problems (that really do not exist, IMO) we are hurting the platform that is evolving towards what it was intended to be. AN-CAP (anarcho-capitalism) is the antithesis of socialism, crony capitalism, communism and nearly ALL of the contrived systems of man.

Here's where we agree, but we disagree on "frequency"... You note that some whales and larger critters (fat dolphins, thanks a lot!😋) sometimes downvote the smaller accounts. It happens. That is why I proposed we use a "warning" as opposed to a flag. For shitposts, I say Use This:

I think MOST people, new, old or just a bit slow, will realize the message being sent. If not, FLAG Them! On the other hand, many people claim there are not enough flags being thrown. In some cases that is true, also. What we really need is More Engagement, more comments and less whining. We are (almost) all adults here, and if people realized what Steemit is really about they would not be clamoring for MORE ADMINS!!!
What we need is More Participation! SPEAK YOUR MIND!
As far as I'm concerned people wanting more Rules and Regulations are in the wrong place, DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU IN THE A$$! 😆 😉
I'm pretty sure people getting flagged have done something stupid or at least ill-timed. Let's put it this way, if you swim with whales, sometimes U get smacked with the Flukes! THINK ABOUT IT!
I see literally hundreds of plankton swarming in to the whale posts, when I happen to look. I just shake my head at the bandwagon attitude.
