Children of Information IFC S2R3
Many of us are short on time these days and sometimes find it hard to put together a post for our favorite contest on Steemit, the IFC! It's not about how much time you have but how efficient you can be.
When I first saw the post for the 3rd round I thought, damn, this is right up my alley. The second thought that went through my head is "holy shit, I don't have a lot of time to write a song right now."
Sometimes my friends, you've just got to throw some shit at the wall and see if it sticks.
The amount of time and effort, not to mention heart and soul that @apolymask pours into the IFC is nothing short of amazing. So I want to apologize up front if this seems thrown together quickly (because it was).
It's not an entire song but I feel it captures the essence of season 2 fairly well. Who knows, maybe it could become a group collaboration.
I present to you my entry into the IFC Season 2 Round 3 contest.
The lyrics (first verse and a chorus anyway).
We race through the heavens, no trace of the aliens
That shook our world to the core.
We fought back the tide and escaped genocide,
To the Grays we took the war.
We are the children of information.
We live our lives good and free.
Raise our cups in celebration.
To you and me and the IFC.

Dannnngggg.. That was so awesome!!! I absolutely love it. Made me smile so wide! Excellent job my friend! The lyrics are great and the energy you put into it was epic and the tune/beat/melody was perfect as well.
In response to it being short.. Yeah, it is bit short but it's amazing nonetheless! And.. Maybe we can make it a collaboration! If necessary I could write up some lyrics myself or perhaps we could use some lyrics from some of the other entries and combine them, and it would be great if in the final song with @edprivat that we could get you in there as well!
Now I can't guarantee you're going to win since it's not my decision and depends on the judges votes and I haven't even seen the other entries yet, though you did something wonderful here and I want to find a way to use it and fit it into our IFC album of music in the future one way or another somehow!

Thanks brother! I had fun with it. I'm actually thinking that would be the first verse and last chorus of the song. It's been going through my head a little since I laid it down too.
I actually just listened to the song from last year because when @edprivat first put it out I was just arriving at Yellowstone National Park and had absolute SHIT for service. That was badass! And I loved @bashadows lyrics even before I heard the song.

You're welcome! Credit where credit is due. :) That's a good idea for it to be the first and last parts of the song. I can vibe with that! Then we can sort of sandwich the rest in the middle.
Also glad to hear you enjoyed the song from last year! That was great and with your help the second song is looking like it's going to be an epic follow up! :D
